NEW data center... What do you want to see from a host?
 

I'm very lightly involved in the building of a new mutli million dollar datacenter and interested in hearing what you wanting or are looking for in a host. how about 1/2 price bandwidth and hosting for the first year? What functions/feature are you looking for etc. The datacenter in in the final planning stages right now with pre sales going to be offered in the next few months.

multiple unique ip's offered at a good rate
nice special as mentioned above, but really just competitive hosting rates for regular rates
im a noob so i go for managed hosting so:
good live support
good customer service

Cut down on the biggest cost: energy
Something like they did in the Netherlands with http://www.evoswitch.com/

i want to see more hosts that offer a seperate network interface connected to a VPN

Save some money and don't build it; just have your data center shipped to you in a BOX :)

Premium connectivity from end to end. I'm talking jacks, patch panels, cable (both fiber and copper) and patch cords. Don't spend all this money on the high failure items and skimp on the cabling system, find a Siemon CI http://www.siemon.com/us/projectassistance/ and do it right.
