You probably know that a production cost for 1 litre of liquor is about $1 but we pay $17 here in Canada. That's cause government likes to tax the hell out of people when it comes to alcohol (it makes for insane revenue for the government). Being able to by pass this type of revenue would not get positive response from the officials. So while I don't have any answers for you, I am guessing that unless you're buying from a Canadian online liquor store (the one that will include all fees and taxes involved in purchasing liquors in Canada) you are likely breaking the law. Importing form abroad is possible in small amounts as a carry on lugage. But buying online - I'm not sure about that :(

I live in Alberta so I'm not 100% positive on that one, but I know government does operate liquor stores in Ontatio, but whether all liquor stores are government operated there or just some government chains - I really don't know.

Ii saw on the customs site that i am allowed to bring 1 bottle with me into Canda. I think i might go that. Might be easier if i cant find a place to ship it to canda.

My luck they will ship it and customs will drink it :disgust

LOL, yeah. Plus customs are definitely government operated. Even if by some stroke of luck they would not drink it, they work so slow you'd be back in NY by the time it reaches Toronto :D
