I've got two of them still sealed in their original packaging sitting right here next to me.

The games still fetch a nice price on eBay too, if you've got them unopened and unused.

and mame has been ported to the dream cast
so you can play a lot of main stream arcade games on the dreamcast

That is why I refuse to have consoles in the house, or games on any of my machines... If I start, I won't stop until I beat it.. Not a very productive way to live.

Used to love sega rally on that thing -a great way to get away from the real world, but way to addictive.. esp. with the rumble pack.

Dreamcast was the best, any game you wanted you could download and burn for free. You can probably still find games for it out there somewhere.

Dreamcast was awesome.I also had a bunch of emulators to play SNES and NES games.
I am getting an Xbox (not 360) from ebay so I can install Xbox Media Center and all the Emulators I can get my hands on. They probably have a Dreamcast emulator for it...

Burnt games killed the system, thats why it went to the shitter, to many people were getting the new games online and burning it since u didnt even need to chip it to play burnt games. Its a shame 'cause it was a decent system.

It had a lot of cool games available for it. Shenmue, Ecco, Ready to Rumble Boxing, and others I can't think of right now. I liked it better than Playstation. I never got into Playstation much. I should hook up my Dreamcast and play some old games...

I think I need to replace the batteries in the VMUs to save games... They are all dead by now

"Nights" is a blast. its pretty weird but a great game. for some reason its really relaxing

I also had one of these, Sega Nomad, it was a handheld that played regular sega games, use to EAT the 8 double a batteries, in about an hour and a half of game play. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Nomad
