Hmmm... going by Fox New's definition, it stands for "A cute white female child has gone missing" alert.

Had one here in my Area a while ago also. Sounded like father grabbed his kid back from the mother.

was named for 9-year-old Amber Hagerman who was abducted and murdered in Arlington, Texas in 1996. Exceptions are in Georgia, where it is called Levi's Call[1], Hawaii, where it is called a Maile Amber Alert and Arkansas, where it is called a Morgan Nick Amber Alert. Those plans were named after children who went missing in those states.

Shit that just got all complicated, why can we not all just get along and call it one damn thing and not think every state needs a certain child plus amber.

Amber alert just means some child was reported abducted. Unlike notabooks definition which he confused with televised coverage.

I like my definition better. Let colored folk get their own names for alerts.
