EU citizenship
 

I would like to stay here in the UK, and more generally, in the EU, for some time to come. However, citizenship here is a bitch. Does anyone know of good EU countries for getting an EU passport? Not really sure where I am going with this, just curious.

Greece is pretty easy to get it if you are coming from certain countries

Where are you from originally? If you're from a commonwealth country, citizenship is a lot easier. I looked into moving to London over the summer but since I wasn't "self-employed" and was trying to get a company to sign my transfer papers, it didn't happen. But you're doing well with your sites right? You seem like you are. If you are full self-employed through this, register it as a company and make it look like you're setting up shop in the UK.

I'm jealous, I gotta say. I love England and will go back as soon as I can. Need a webmaster out there in house? :)

i don't know if the law has changed but it used to be that in england if you could prove that your parents were british..u 'd get citizenship and if one of your grandparents was british then u'd get work papers....which would put u well on the way to becoming a subject of Her Majesty the Queen:)

How long have you been in the UK and do you have residency rights yet?

I am about to apply for dual citizeenship so I will be my native US but also have a British Passport. I am married to a Brit and I had to wait I think threeyears after moving here to apply for citizenship. I kow if you aren't married to a British subject that you have to wait a bit longer.

Again, as others say it depends on your original nationality. However, as an American the hardest part was getting residency. After I had residency I was given pretty much all the rights of a citizen and I can stay..own a buisness, etc.

If you come from a Commenwealth country I know it is less complicated. However, check out the British Home Office webpage. I am not sure of the url but I know i found it once before by just typing it into google.
