I have been thinking about developing a site for the model phone services, but I am not sure about this market yet, has anyone else be able to do very much with this yet and what I should expect as far as start up cost. Is this really becoming a viable market yet?

Ask the largest mobile carriers (Sprint, Verizon etc) in the world what their stance is on billing adult content via SMS/Direct-to-bill and you will quickly get an idea of the current limitations of the market.

Sure, you can sell mobile content via credit card but you are looking at a maybe 10% of the sales you would see if you could charge direct to bill.

there's a lot of stuff webmasters do not know about mobile, billing mobile, delivering mobile, and about the carriers and their stance...

I've been seeing a fairly substantial percentage of my traffic coming from the PSP webbrowser, which leads me to believe that a mobile market does indeed exist. On some site's it's exceeding 1&#37; of the entire traffic flow. Which may not sound that substantial, but overall 1 out of 100 surfers hitting a site from a PSP to me is pretty amazing. I think there is going to be a future in mobile porn. Hell I'm already making sales on VOD stuff for the iPod and I'm hardly promoting it that much...
