Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "The details, when they come out, are going to prove a little bizarre."

It has to be roid rage + marital issues. Any murder suicide of a celebrity is bizarre and subject to being classified as such by people who dont understand that wealthy, successful families can still be holding themselves together by the thinnest of threads.

"Roid Rage" doesn't make a stable person suddenly a killer. It just doesn't work like that.

There's all kind of factors that steroids could contribute, including moodiness on the product and/or depression as cycling off, however the stereotype of people foaming at the mouth and chewing glass is rarely, if ever, reality.

i am sure steroids will be found to be a factor in how he came to do such a horrible thing but with a WWE wrestler nobody is going to find that bizarre at all.

killing your wife and 7 year old kid is bizarre but the DA is hinting about something else - usually when somebody does this they instantly or shortly after do themselves in. what this guy did for 24 or more hours in his house with the wife and kid he murdered in there is probably the bizarre part.

The word coming out of Atlanta is that the wife killed the kid, tells the hubby to come home, hubby comes home, freaks out and kills wife, then writes suicide note and kills himself.

Roid rage may still apply, its just a factor in pushing him over the edge.

oh shit - if that's the story it makes it sadder - his flipping out and killing the wife for killing his son plus possible steroid usage makes it understandable - a good attorney would have got him a not guilty by reason of insanity.

thats what I was thinking wife kills kid, husband finds out kills wife in a rage, then wonders around the house for a day trying either to figure out what to do or to get the courage to off himself.

a source has said Benoit strangled the wife in a home office, smothered his own child to death in his room and hung himself in his workout room - this guy has been described by everybody as a nice guy. wonder what he wrote in the suicide note.

to end your own life would be very hard thing to complete, lots of people try every day and just don't have "what it takes" to really go through with it.

I just heard the same thing on cnn, makes me wonder what was going on in his mind.
I know I could never kill my children no matter what, so it is hard for me to understand what could drive someone to do that.

He was demonstrating a hold to his wife, accidentally killed her, figured the law would not believe it was an accident and did not want his kid to live parent-less and in shame, so snuffed it before killing himself.
