how big are you in this industry?

I have two servers with AGNWS, today got an email from them about some very good deals and promotions, so opened this thread on the sales forum with my affiliate code. After a few hours the thread got only 60 visits. This makes me think that maybe most webmasters here have 1-3 sites and make $300 a month. So ... how big are you in this industry?

quiet 06-26-2007 07:27 PM

I don't think that is a fair way to judge anything. Most webmasters who are making money are very happy with their current host and have a good relationship with them.

To go a step further, you need a good relationship with not only people from your host, but with billing and any other aspect of your business.

If you're happy and well taken care of, you are not going to jump ship for a promotion. :2 cents:

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 06-26-2007 07:43 PM

here's an idea. Maybe everyone here is so successful that they don't need to worry about a couple of bucks.:winkwink:

Mr Pheer 06-26-2007 07:50 PM

6 servers and close to 300 domains

I dont do business with alot of people though, but I probably should. My icq list is pretty small on purpose.

Aquarius 06-26-2007 07:50 PM

Congrats to the winners.

shermo 06-26-2007 07:59 PM

I make a couple bucks over $300 a month...On a sidenote, why worry about what others make? Spend that time on building your empire and laugh all the way to the bank.

not-a-troll 06-26-2007 08:02 PM

i suck at the internet.

Jarmusch 06-26-2007 08:03 PM

My cock is so big I stick it in my left sock.

LiveDose 06-26-2007 08:05 PM

$300. Wow, that's possible?

baddog 06-26-2007 08:10 PM

Because people aren't jumping on a server from someone they never heard of, they aren't successful?

aico 06-26-2007 09:12 PM

Maybe you just suck at promotion... probably means you make less than $300 a month.

CuriousToyBoy 06-26-2007 09:17 PM

Was 350, got down to 230, sitting comfy at around 275 these days.

ry0t 06-26-2007 10:28 PM

Im trying to give myself some credit by saying Ive been here for a long damn time and even if a lot of people don't know me, I remember them from back in the day and I plan to keep getting stronger and bigger until I'm set.

GreyWolf 06-26-2007 10:33 PM

Silly question :) It's obvious that average GFY member has 1000 domains and 25 servers and earns zillions - of rubles :thumbsup

Truth? 95% here don't even have what could be called a business.

JP513 06-26-2007 10:51 PM

I am small in this industry. But I am in it.

You would be doing something wrong if you weren't in it

million 06-26-2007 11:38 PM

Looks like the thread worked heh I already have a comission :)

steved 06-26-2007 11:49 PM

I'm not understanding your logic in figuring this out, but I know that $300 wouldn't pay for much more than food for a week.

If anyone here isn't making at least $300 a month, you can sign up with anyone in my sig, and I will give you some tips to make more than that:)

Thats cool, which company do you use? I was with another company (I had a good relationship with them too) but their techs had no clue about Linux and I needed some special settings so I moved with these guys who setup NFS and some other stuff for me.

Im not saying you are going to move all your stuff to another company because of a promotion, but I usually give a try to new companies like I do with sponsors, designers and so on.

:2 cents:

Pornwolf 06-27-2007 03:01 AM

212lbs low bodyfat, 4 servers and several hundred domains (I can't even remember exactly but the domain renewal notices are popping up daily).

darksoul 06-27-2007 03:07 AM

this is lame
are you complaining that you're not getting commissions ?
guess you're not making more than 300/mo

NickSunshine 06-27-2007 03:11 AM

i just got a little bigger

Fizzgig 06-27-2007 03:18 AM
