Your archive sells well, whats the next step? (Help)

Put yourself in my shoes for a minute. You've just been laid off from work and no where in the state is hiring. You've got a mouth to feed. You see an adult ad on a mainstream site with a webmaster link. You click it, read, signup, and begin building an archive with your limited html and photoshop skills.

That was 4 months ago.

Now your archive is making you around $2000 a month which you use to live off of but you have $200-300 to invest a month. You've exhausted TGP traffic to the bone now which is the life of your archive. You can't seem to increase your signup rate no matter how dedicated to submitting you are.. 5-6 signups a day with 1:600 then the ratio will jump to 1:5000 for the next week (shaving? dunno).

What're your skills?
Intermediate Photoshop knowledge
Intermediate Dreamweaver (HTML) knowledge
Damn good copy/paste coding skills
Able to work 18 hours a day without sleep or becoming moody

You want to push up into the $5000 a month range. What're your options?

1. Build a TGP.. even if you design it yourself and invest your $300 a month for traffic and scripts and trading I would imagine there isn't much money in it and EVERYONE has one by now.

2. Freesites. Couple personal galleries, some pornstar bios maybe.. how do I get traffic to it though? And worse, how do I keep it? Link dumps.. maybe throw that $300 at it again.. don't see healthy retention, maybe I'm going about it wrong.

3. Blog. Yeah, again, everyone has one.. I imagine it would make a great side project but to push up to the $5000 range I would have to post some incredible stuff like maybe pictures of my ass. But I'm shy so that's out.

4. Unfortunately I'm out of ideas.

Unlike most I've met in the adult industry my short time here I'm a hardworker. Very hard. I'll work 48 hours straight if I have the work to do I just don't know WHAT to do next to increase my profits.

Before you say "Why not just make your site over again and to the EXACT same thing?" Wish it was that easy. The TGP accounts and sources I've used are either maxed out or closed (meaning they don't even accept anymore submitters.. I got one of the last accounts with Shemp bless his soul).

I'm here to work. Can do anything that can be self taught. I have a friend here whos retired and can work too, he just asks I give him a membership to my site and he'll work indefinitely so that's golden.

Anyone have any suggestions? Something I can invest my time into heavily and see a healthy return? Something I can afford. :helpme

Start your own paysite if you like the industry?

I doubt $300 is enough to start a paysite between content, protection, Visa startup fee. I was hoping there would be a 'step #2' after building a successful recurring archive. Thank you for the suggestion though.

If you already have a hosting and can do designs yourself, then content will be your biggest startup expense. You can start small by simply not taking Visa at first. You'll lose sales, but if you can't afford the Visa fees in the beginning, then it'll allow you to build some income and add it later. That's what I ended up doing. That'll also give you the option to start an affiliate program so others can advertise your site.
