Its a few years old i think but i just now saw the documentary on Discovery. He was on Letterman as well a while back.

Some moron fucked up in the head hippie i love you all type of nutjob thought he was special and that wild bears accepted them. So he started filming them trying to get closer to them every day. In the meantime acting as if they were his friends. Well ofcourse one day one of his "friends" killed his ass.

And now the present this docu as if its something really special. A reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaallly special person he was.

Yeah but it's a great watch, very entertaining. When that bear comes after him he does some funny kung-fu type shit and the bear backs off. The girl seemed terrified when that monster bear appears behind her, however it seems she did try to beat the shit out of the bear killing her BF with a frying pan.

There was another programe on discovery about this guy who has spent around 250k developing a suit you can wear that can withstand a full on bear attack. It was great he put it on and they like tested it out by running him over in a truck and like getting a ton of hell angels types to beat the shit out of him with baseball bats, and then swing an massive log into him, like when predator breaks out of the net trap that arnold has set up to capture him. He never tested it against bears because everytime he approached one wearing the suite the bear freaked out and raced off.

Animals in the wild are best left alone and should be studied without intruding on their habitat. I saw that doc and the guy was a moron and the bears finally had enough of him. Only question is...what took the bears so long to finally get rid of their annoyance.

This is not a joke. I once had a baby polar bear in my house when my dad was based out in Alaska. Its parents had been killed and we had it untill it could be taken into care or released into the wild. Sometimes it would sleep in my bed.

One day he turned on me, he was still small though so no real damage.. I was 8 years old at the time and thought he was my friend.

Bottom of the line is this, they will kill humans no matter how they are brought up.

if he had left when he normally did, he would still be alive.

You can hear the girlfriend tell him to play dead then later tell him to fight back , then you can hear him tell her to hit the bear with the pan , thats when it gets her, he should have told her to run

Funny thing is (funny strange[unless you're a bit twisted and opt for funny ha-ha]) - the audio of him actually becoming bear scat didn't carry over to his previous indignant and self righteous comments.

i don't think it's right to make fun of anyones death no matter how seemingly crazy they are. this guy had a cause he fought for, it may not have been the best or most honorable one but he had one. i'd say he had a brass pair of balls to do what he did, and not a single person in this thread would camp where he camped for one single night.

whether you liked the guy or not, he got killed in a horrible, painful way. nothing to make fun of at all imo...
