Buying a 22 inch widescreen monitor was the buy thing i did in a long time!

And i recommend it to everyone who uses his computer to work (or play games :) )

Man, what a difference! Now with my old screen next to this one i can compare colors and i was shocked. I now see white as white and now as grey brownish! What a difference. Site designs i made myself suddenly look totally different. If you are a designer and still work on a 3 year old monitor youre doing something wrong.

I bought the most expensive one they had and it was 350 euros. In the US its most likely 300 to 350 dollars so no excuse not to buy it.

Btw, my old monitor was a 1600 euro dell 20 inch flatscreen. One of the best at that time so its not like i had a shitty monitor. But compared to this its crap. Ofcourse back then those screens were still pretty new and the technique wasnt anywhere near where its today.

I'm working on 22 inch widescreen for a rather long time and thinking to buy some bigger one, because 1620x1050 is not as good as I thought before - especially if you're working with photoshop or some panel-overload software development system like m$ Visual Studio or Borland Delphi :2 cents:

HA HA, can't agree with you more. Working on 21" dell right now, went from a 17 " crt to this widescreen :) dear god the space on my desktop :)

I have a 20' dell monitor with HBO on a PIP window. I tought this big screens were not necessary till I bought one. Now I need a 30' Dell, but they're around $2000 here.

yup, big wide screen monitors are great :thumbsup

ultimatebbwdotcom 07-01-2007 07:17 PM

I have a pair of 24 inch wide screens too.

Bigger screens are becoming pretty cheap now, I'm looking forward to designing sites when that size is standard in the average home.

Cyrano 07-01-2007 07:21 PM

Damn right. I'm very pleased with my 22" widescreen, certainly beneficial when performing design-related work.

DaddyHalbucks 07-01-2007 10:53 PM

Maybe I will upgrade. I have a 17" flatscreen now.

Nails 07-01-2007 10:55 PM

Why didn't you get a 24" ? The gateway one is awesome and not very much more then the 22" you got.

polish_aristocrat 07-01-2007 11:54 PM

22 inch LCD are $350 bucks nowadays ?

I bought a 19 LCD for $1k 3-4 years ago
