I worked with some kick ass DJs back in the day here in Oregon. ( who thought there would be ravers in oregon, right?) so I jumped into the scene, not ever hearing of a rave before...

so i started helping these guys set up shop, I was muscle... and lights guyn shit, ya know, very low budget, but a kick ass vibe... so my first rave i was blown away, but i found that techno was interesting as hell... Some Dj from Portland headlined us... Dj Ravi.... i watched him close as he "spun his mix" it was an art.

anyway... I like techno...but i like it for the art of it and i only like the right sound... some cool house or some good DnB....

I met Dj Airek back in 2000/2001 at one of these raves, right in the begininnging of my adult life... both literally and professionally... :winkwink:



never taken a pill at a rave... nor anytime else... I miss the raves... the vibe, the dj friends...

I think you may mean "electronic dance music".

"techno" is rarely ever played anywhere anymore. it was a hard style of four on the floor music native and born in detroit.

thankfully, techno is dead.

??? You guys, I don't know about the USA, but here in Europe, techno is very much alive and very much kickin it. It's all about the rhythm, mixing and dj skills.

I love techno

For some reason I really don't care for lyrics in music, I like the beat, the tone of sounds (including voices). I guess thats why it works for me.

I'm into electronic music and can say that I don't like techno because it too lazy and makes me feel like shit but I have friends who love this kind of music
