I hit my 10 year goal today to be a MILLIONAIRE in a little over 5 years.

I was 20 and BROKE in 2002.
I read netpond and adultnetsurprise.

I started submitting galleries. About 5 a day, used freehosts.
Got hosting, got IP's, set up proxies. Submitted 20 galleries a day.
Got partner accounts, bought ad spots, incorporated and all that fun shit.

Started working on blogs and started a little paysite.

I make a lot of money, but I am not N-I-G-G-E-R Rich.
I live in a studio apartment
i drive a 1995 dodge neon that is falling apart
I work 12-15 hours per day.

As my checks from earlier this week cleared, I am a fucking millionaire.

1 mil in the bank, liquid at the age of 26

And for the financial guys, yes i know i need to invest, will plan on doing that shortly after i close on my house next week.

I think the whole point of the formula he's stuck with is there is no "real money". Just steady efforts done consistently over a long period of time.

BTW, keeping each account under 100K doesn't give you full FDIC coverage on all of it. It's 100K per account holder, not per account. (It looks like that's what you're trying to do)

Couple of things - suggest you do not have that level of balance in any account. You have entered the world of distrust - the next thing to watch for is bank problems and any "new friends". Banks are unlikely to insure that account balance, so worth spreading it.

Another point is - it's worth investing a portion, but only in secure areas with proven growth. Forget the US property market - at least for the moment, but there will be good opportunities there soon. Look wider - there are a number of places with excellent potential - eg one quarter of your balance invested around 4 years ago in the right place, would be worth fractionally over a mill now.

Also remember the international value of your earnings - the dollar is worth less now. That may have relevance depending....

And... what next?? :) Repeat again, but from a better base - well done man :thumbsup

The % you get in a savings account is low, but it's pretty safe. If you're going to invest without making investing your primary business, you might want to go with a plan that guarantees you will never lose your initial profits. Especially right now - the markets are somewhat instable at the moment, and a wrong move could easily lose you loads of money in the near future.
