I don't know but there is plenty of money to be made on the internet without scamming someone. So there is no excuse for not delivering on what you sell or not paying for what you buy.

Sarah, you open a thread saying Teenmegacash should contact you asap or else there will be big drama. Now you act as if its Teenmegacash again because no ref code.

Ever though of the fact that quite a bunch of program have the option to track domains instead of referral codes. I believe they have that as well.

I take my words back if they scammed you but i highly doubt it and i think what are you doing is pretty fucked up to blame them without any proof so far.

The owner of Teen Mega Cash was totally rude to us, wouldn't work with us at all on getting more information on the scammer.
What does that tell you?
As far as I'm concerned TeenMegaCash benefits from all of the sales, so they owe us.
All of the traffic that they would have gotten probably generated 10 sales / day.
We have an excellent collections agency.

Who's the new rep you got after Lisa left? I wish you the best of luck, I know they'll do a kickass job if it comes to collection.

Here's a new flash for you, guy using stolen cc is likely redirecting traffic to installs.

credit card fraud sucks, you should be phone verifying like most good hosts do when placing big orders

scammers remove affiliate codes so no affiliates complain that someone is using thier code. it buys them more time to redirect every so and so visitor to an install... or creates an install after you view apic or 2, or download a "movie"

they could make much more going legal. they know more about programming than me.. and I do fine.

Sicnerely I have been VERY pissed for what they told me and the WAY they told it to me on ICQ..

This is the VERY first message they sent me on ICQ not even sayng HI or anythign else:

"we're contacting ccbill and going to ask them to shut you down, you're done in the industry, good bye."

I answered:
"I ahev nothign to hide and I did NOTHIGN WRONG"

And them:
"Fine, our lawyers will be in touch"

And me:
"so plea eGO TO THE POLICE and they will find who that person is"

And them:
"it doesn't even matter, because we will ruin you"

There is not need to continue...

But even if what he wrotes to me is very bad I can still understand that he could be very mad as someone stoled him 16k usd as he says...
I just hope to not be treated liek that for no reason again in teh future.

And one last thing: like i sayd and like I showed to sarah UNLIKE she was supposing we have had NO INCREASE at ALL of traffic during the last month and NO INCREASE AT ALL (to be sincere we have had a small decrease that we hope to make up with teh relaunch of tmc) of sales...

So a guy buys $16K in traffic, and sends to an affiliates program.

Affiliates program shows ineffectual results, program does not disclose which affiliate was sending traffic with a stolen card.

Traffic seller say's affiliates program owes them $16K?

Is that about right?

If thats the case I would have to say that the traffic seller should conduct due process on whom they do business with in the first place. Though the affilaites program could be helpful or the processor could be helpful in disclosing exactly whom used the stolen card and follow up from there.

PS: For some reason Mark Hartley sounds familier but I do not know why...

So am I right in assuming the card was used to buy ads/traffic. Then the card was then reported as stolen.

So were the ads sending traffic to the site direct or via CCBILL?
Is it an affiliate who can be tracked via CCBILL or one of their tracking links?

Have the police and Visa been informed of this?

Seems to me another reason for being very careful about who you take money from with a credit card over the Internet. Any order of this size on the content stores is by bank transfer or nothing.

Let me guess they bought 5,000 worth of traffic

totally agreed. I've dealt with many many people online and the more I deal with the more I realize the old times are the stable ones who always write and send the checks.

Even when things fuck up - and sooner or later something ALWAYS fucks up - the people who have been around ARE around cause they are good to deal with.

sara - contact cybercat - if the same guy's screwed them too blacklist that sponser if they don't comply with handing over the guys info and possibly commissions from those galleries.

between you and cybercat you can pretty much END a program from generating ANY tgp traffic of any sigificant volume.

so that NO affilate can use them. that will end most new programs
