Laptop suggestions for around 1-1500$?
 

I'm in the market for a new laptop and was wondering what people's thoughts are. I'm in mortal fear of Vista.

I'll use the laptop for everything normal computing to some video editing. Any suggestions?

Thanks! I'm not sure about the vaio's because I've heard a few horror stories, but I'll check them out. Any other suggestions are more than welcome.

i have a toshiba satellite pro - and i'm quite happy with it. core duo processor, 1 gb ram, 120 gb hd and the most important thing: a matt display, not one of those where you just see yourself as soon as there is a little bit of sun

very important! my old toshiba has that, it's awful. $1500 mirror.
