the key would be posting the reserves

There is a reason why people dont post reserve prices. A reserve is a price they want if they posted that why have an auction? They dont tell that because if the reserve is set to high it will scare bidders away.

I never understood why people would ask a reserve price it defeats the purpose of an auction.

i bet the reserves on those are all way too high. ive sat in a few of those auctions..lots of unrealistic reserves..but it gets the attention to the auctions and then the other domains, without high reserves, end up getting a lot of action.

I bet most will be sold to people not actually at the Internext, but sitting online or from a phone through a broker

There will probably be a fair bit of phonebids and broker purchases, which is a completely acceptable way of bidding. Many people interested in the domain names selling at the auction are not able to attend the Internext show (unfortunately). Often corporate buyers purchase domain names through a specific brokering agent. We feel that it is important to give the adult community the opportunity to bid and win on names that will increase their revenue. It will be a terrific event!! Cheers!

Moniker is starting to become a cluster fuck imo. First they ask me not to submit mainstream names and I see tons of mainstream names in the master list. Then they email me asking if i'd submit 20 or so specific names because they felt the names would sell and I hadn't included them in my original submission form. Then I check the master list and the names are no where to be found.

I sold a domain at the last auction but still havent gotten payed and every email I've sent asking for an update has gone unanswered. I also sold a name a few weeks ago through their market place that took about 3-4 days to complete. The domain is no longer in my possesion but Im still getting emails from the escrow department asking me to unlock the name so they can transfer it.

Dont get me wrong their domain registration service is spectacular but these auctions need some work.
