Do you believe in witches?

Meaning people who have developed senses regular people dont use?

I do....I think about 1 in 1000 people could very well be a witch. I think I can feel it when I am dealing with a witch but respect their wish for anonymity. The witches I have known have been on average good people.

I also think most witches have a thing with physical energy (read sex).
Miami will be interesting....
:)

woj 07-28-2007 10:59 AM

Nah, don't believe it...

Spyce 07-28-2007 11:27 AM

Witches, like Harry Potter... absolutely not. Witches, as in the Pagan religion, Wicca... there are a lot of them, and they're generally perfectly harmless. :-)

NTM 07-28-2007 11:28 AM

i believe in boogeyman

sniperwolf 07-28-2007 11:40 AM

i believe with witches! i grew up from a place where witchcraft is not a big deal. In spite of the rumors that it is evil works, it maybe depends who uses it...

D 07-28-2007 12:20 PM

Witches (i.e. Wiccans) are everywhere. I'd be surprised just about everyone in a metropolitan area didn't know at least one Wiccan - whether they realize it or not.

A lot of the negative images that accompany the religion are a bunch of Christian-centric propagandist hogwash.

:2 cents:

aico 07-28-2007 12:29 PM

Of course there are witches. Lots of them.

teg0 07-28-2007 12:32 PM

witches as portrayed in popular culture, no.

klinton 07-28-2007 12:39 PM

oh those Dutchmen ;]

carol.prime 07-28-2007 12:49 PM

yes i believe in witches..though i don't have a any proof that it's really existed. for me there's nothing wrong in believing for some thing if it's not make your life worst.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 07-28-2007 01:09 PM

I know a handful of women who are full blown into the pagan/wiccan shit, and I do my best not to laugh in their face, they take themselves pretty seriously.

HouseHead 07-28-2007 01:11 PM

digifan 07-28-2007 03:05 PM

I am a white witch.

DirtyDreamer 07-28-2007 03:26 PM

I believe in witches that practice real-world witchcraft ala Wicca but not witches from Harry Potter or from The Wizard of Oz.

techtony 07-28-2007 03:27 PM

yes, I deal with 14 of them on a daily basis.

techtony 07-28-2007 03:28 PM

oh you said witches, I thought you said bitches, my bad.

SomeCreep 07-28-2007 03:30 PM

I agree a lot of women were termed "witches" because they knew how to use herbs to help others. Just example of Christians pushing their views on others.

Wicca is an ancient religion that has some rituals that date back as far as 6 months ago.

Wicca is the invention of a relgion by a British civil servant named Gerald Gardner. He was an occult hobbyist and a pen pal of Aleister Crowley. He took a bit of ceremonial magic, threw in some nature worship, and talked a bunch of people into dancing around naked for him. It's pretty much a given that most of the original Wiccan Book of Shadows was written for Gardner by Crowley.

After Crowley died, one of Gardner's high priestesses went back and rewrote giant chunks of it to make it more female oriented, mostly because she didn't like Crowley very much.

It's some funny shit.

yahoo-xxx-girls.com 07-28-2007 09:41 PM

Witches ?

I'm not sure exactly...

98-99% of most people associate religions with spiritual... They are not the same... and about the same amount of people use their religion(s) or claim they are spiritual for the purpose of trying to influence others... normally for personal gain...

I'm not sure if magic exists in the way you would conceive such, however that not to say such does not exist... there are groups and individual with exceptional abilities to communicate concepts to others through visual representation and are able to get along with others who are foreign to certain concepts an attitudes...

Procedural security through obscurity has a very very early history... such would use stories and objects as to pass on different meanings between individual and or groups that were normally hidden and would help out behind the scenes secretly... If this is not a kind of magic... then I'm not sure what is...

Now if you really think about what effects us personally each and every day you could draw lines between certain concepts found within "magic" that parallels relatively modern day ongoings...

This is what I've been told. ^^
