How many of you are vegetarians here?

Are you vegetarian? If yes, since when?

:upsidedow

BoyAlley 07-30-2007 09:09 AM

I eat meat. :winkwink:

Scott McD 07-30-2007 09:10 AM

I was for a while a couple of years ago, then started eating some meats again...

D 07-30-2007 09:15 AM

It's not that I can't resist meat....

it's that we have canines, and a metabolism that's evolved while processing meat.

Humans are omnivores.

dready 07-30-2007 09:29 AM

About 13 years now. I was vegan in the beginning, now dairy (espec. cheese) is my biggest weakness, and seafood about once a month.

Pornopat 07-30-2007 09:32 AM

I have been a vegetarian for over 16 years now.
I have no problem at all though with other people eating meat.

Its about how you live your life.

We'll all die anyway, why are you trying to make money in adult biz anyway? :error

teg0 07-30-2007 10:02 AM

I was a vegetarian for 2 years while I dated one. I decided why not give it a shot because I don't like to talk shit about something I've never tried. It went fine, I was in good health, and it really wasn't that hard.

The only problem with being a vegetarian was all the other people who would say they were one too, but they ate fish, seafood, or chicken. You eat those things you're not a vegetarian. I was a vegetarian that didn't hardly eat vegetables. There is this huge misconception thats all they eat. I hate most veggies.

M0nk 07-30-2007 10:14 AM

I was till last year...I spent 3 years as a regular vegetarian, aduring those 3 years i spent 6 month of a vegan diet , my defensis got low and I allmost die....so I´m back to meat!

he-fox 07-30-2007 10:30 AM

where is the "I eat meat because is healthy to do so" option?

Violetta 07-30-2007 01:54 PM

sniperwolf 07-30-2007 02:04 PM

Of course i eat vegetables...

But I just can't resist eating meat! :)

J. Falcon 07-30-2007 02:16 PM

Fuck no... and I never will be.

I don't even entertain the thought.

Evil E 07-30-2007 02:30 PM

you need to do your homework better then.

go back and study before you ruin your health.

Firehorse 07-30-2007 04:38 PM

I chose to become a vegetarian about 5 years ago. :)

I don't miss meat, and most of my friends are non-vegetarians. :)

Ecchi22 07-30-2007 04:41 PM

Btw, those people that starved their kid to death were fucking stupid people & vegans. You can't generalize all the vegetarians & vegans because of that shity case, they are humans too.

Meat is murder.. and murder is *delicious*.

DaddyHalbucks 07-30-2007 05:23 PM

Save a cow, eat a vegetarian.

Ecchi22 07-30-2007 05:26 PM

You guys who mention than being vegetarian is unhealthy. What do you think, how much time do we need to ruin our health? We have vegetarian people here doing fine more than 10 years!

you'll see when you're older.

dude, no nutrition specialists recommend excluding the animal protein from alimentation, because it's essential for the human body.

now if you think that eating animal food (fish, seafood, poultry, milk or eggs) equals eating fat, you're completely wrong. Vegetable oil=100% fat.

Healthy diet = balance between animal and vegetals, avoiding excess of fat and processed food.

got it?

Profits of Doom 07-30-2007 05:43 PM

I was a vegetarian for years, but I started eating chicken and fish again in November of 1998, mostly because I started to feel run down and like I wasn't getting enough protein.

The sad thing is I had NO good reason for becoming a vegetarian. A vegetarian friend of mine made me a bet that I couldn't do it for a week, and I showed him...I did it for 7 years :Oh crap

bushwacker 07-30-2007 05:48 PM

i've got a few friends that are vegans...and they look 20 yrs older than they are.
whoops i'm burning my burger on the grill,...gotta run!!

haha exactly, not eating meat is fucking unhealthy, those vegitarians always look like pale anorexic undead people... plus vegetarians seem to never comb or wash their hair, they look like dirty hippies.

Aquarius 07-30-2007 06:43 PM

No way, I love meat.

Nismo 07-30-2007 09:27 PM

There's so much shit going into US beef/poultry, it's no wonder so many people are becoming vegetarians.

It's a shame some of you are saying it's unhealthy to be a vegetarian.

man, there is so much shit going into everything you eat, drink and breathe....no matter if you are vegetarian, vegan or anorexic you are going to get some sort of toxin in your body

the bottom line though, is your body strong enough to defend itself? most vegetarians I know get sick at least 3-4 times a year, etc...I have never considered being vegan or any of that hippy shit, and I NEVER get sick...the last time I got sick was at least 8-10 years ago

I drink, do drugs, eat meat and barely eat vegetables....it is all in how you train your body, internally and externally

tony286 07-30-2007 09:52 PM

steaks rock way too much to give up.

We have stronger laws in Canada so I don't mind eating beef here.

Dude, nutritions can be wrong too. So many things that were true in the past we have prove now that they were wrong. Its science, you never know for sure, we aren't developed so high so we can be sure what we need.
And no, I'm not trying to say that being vegetarian is healthy, that would be wrong generalization. But I can bet that its not less healthy than eating meat.

True too, except that vegetarians are sick at least 3-4 times a year. Thats so untrue, I don't even remember the last time I was sick. Maybe as little kid.

With this poll I just liked to see how many vegetarians are around, not to spread vegetarianism. lol. I respect all opinions.

And yeah, had to mention. Vegetarianism is not about living a healthy life, its about not killing animals. Healthy life is just an advantage :winkwink:

Sarah_Jayne 07-31-2007 04:14 AM

Not fully but the vast majority of time I eat a vegetarian diet these days. I do have meat now and then - particularly fish - but usually when there are people staying with me that are big meat eaters.

Sarah_Jayne 07-31-2007 04:21 AM

Also, all these weak vegetarians and vegans people are talking about is largely because those particular vegetarians aren't taking enough care to get their protein from alternative sources. It is easy to do but a lot don't and if you are vegan it becomes more complicated.

I like meat..I just have an easier time with weight loss if I stick mostly to a vegetarian or a 'fish-atrian' diet.

mrwilson 07-31-2007 04:28 AM

I eat meat, i eat alot of veg too!
But i am having second thoughts about the veg, i dislike the thought of all the chemicals they spray on shit these days to keep it fresh longer.
People are safer to eat meat!
