MojoHost Internext Datacenter Tours

Hello Everybody,

I will be coordinating a limited number of tours of the MojoHost installation at the Terremark NAP of the Americas in Miami during Internext. Whether you are an established customer, interested in our service or just curious to see what a world class datacenter and managed hosting installation looks like... I would be please to have you as my guest. This is a fantastic tour for those who have an "inner geek"!!!!

This facility tour will of course include a visit to our cage space at the facility but also includes a full site tour to what would otherwise be prohibited access areas such as the peering fabric, power systems, site NOC, etc. Having visited sites around the country prior to selecting this one for MojoHost's complete relocation in 2006, I can assure you that this datacenter is truly unique and one of the most amazing sites to actually tour in all of North America. The NAP of the Americas was the first purpose-built, carrier-neutral NAP and is the only facility of its kind specifically designed to link Latin America with the rest of the world.

If you are interested, please send me an email, call or ICQ with the following information: First and last name as it appears on DL# or Passport, cell #, email address and lastly your preference of Thursday evening, Friday morning or Friday afternoon. Security is intense at this site, we'll be given a professional tour of the site and have one facility representative for every five in my party.

I will follow up to confirm times of limo departure and whether or not you are a confirmed guest. There will of course be liquor and food available on the the trip to the site. The full site tour takes about an hour and is approximately 30 minutes from the Diplomat so if you budget 2-3 hours from start to finish that would be very accurate. My only disclaimer to all of this is that it is subject to availability and although we would like to accomodate everybody, we have to reserve the right to not include person(s) if that scenario became necessary.

Thank you all in advance for your interest and Corey and myself are looking forward to seeing everyone in Hollywood! Drinks are on us :)

Cheers,

Brad Mitchell

Shoot if I was bringing Melissa I'm somehow sure that I'd really have a lot of interest for this venue. LOL She was going to be coming with me to Internext this week but we had tragic accident and death in the family a week ago and it's just not possible with everything that is going on. I'm fairly certain she'll be coming to Vegas now and I'll make sure she wears something sexy for you Wizzo!

:thumbsup

Sorry to hear about the accident, and your wife would look sexy in trashbag, but sure I'm preaching to the choir on that one... :pimp

Hey Brad thats cool. I would suggest to anyone that has never seen the inside of a data center to take a look. The kind of facilities Brad and we use are nothing like a data center at your bank and far from being a cheap metal building with cheap racks and servers. They are state of the art facilities and even if you don't have an interest in that type thing it is still worth the time. Let you see the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes for sure.

Hate that I am not going to make it down this year for sure. But hey just because I don't get to go does not mean the rest of you should miss out. If that location is anything like ours Brad has done a load of work to pull this off for sure. Just getting things worked out with security alone is a load of work.

Way to go Brad!

Shit as long as free food and booze is involved lol

pr0 07-30-2007 03:22 PM

awesome idea, i was always surprised why more companies didn't do this in data center cities

Elli 07-30-2007 03:25 PM

My inner geek just squealed in excitement!

corvette 07-30-2007 03:43 PM

brad, heard about your new state-of-the-art data center, this looks like a great opportunity for many

always innovating, see you later on this week :)

Brad Mitchell 07-30-2007 03:58 PM

God damn ICQ, sorry to those of you who received multiple messages. I hit 'retry' figuring (logically) that it would only attempt to resend those who were undeliverable and apparently it went to the whole list another time or two. Thanks for understanding -

<frustrated>

No they don't. However, I have had a request in for quite some time to have some "professional photography" of different site assets done. I will make some calls today and let you know asap! :)

I didn't think you were going to Florida - absolutely, let's get you on the list Mark! The site doesn't allow photography, however.

If you could swing it Brad it would be great if you could take a couple of pics of the girlsoutwest servers and send them to me, just for interests sake. :thumbsup

I wish I could fly over, it's cold in Melbourne at the moment and not as much fun being thousands of miles away from all the action. :helpme
