I saw a dead guy on the side of the road...
 

I was driving home from the city here at like 5pm and I saw all these cars stopped up ahead on the highway (or at least poland's idea of a highway. 1 lane each direction and everyone driving 150kph).

Turns out someone hit some guy on a bicycle. The guy was laying on the side of the road, looked pretty fucking mangled. Very bloody. The car was a complete writeoff, roof caved in, he must have hit him going well over 100kph.

I didn't stop because there was already like 20 people there stopped and I didn't really feel the need take a look at a scene like that... I doubt I could have done anything to help him.

I'm not sure if he was dead or not, but judging from the blood and the car that hit him, I doubt he lived.

That sucks, Must have been a horrible day for a number of people.

Probably dead if nobody was trying to revive him.

People here are fucking stupid man. The highways here like I said, are one lane each direction plus a paved shoulder. People pass each other with traffic coming in the other direction and people just move over onto the shoulder to let each other past. This is completely normal driving behavior in this country. Also, cars have right of way at crosswalks. Its fucking TERRIFYING here.

I've seen everything from drunk guys walking alone on pitch black highways in the middle of the night, people riding horses, farm equipment, horses pulling carts in the middle of the night with no reflectors or lights, people drunk on bicycles.

I doubt it was the person who hit him's fault because there is next to no traffic on the road. The guy on the bicycle was almost certainly drunk and probably swerved into the path of the car. Alcohol here is a huge problem. Everywhere i go i see people passed out or throwing up in the middle of the day.

Last night at a night club, some like skinny little 17 yr old drunk shit was trying to start a fight with me. I'm 6'4 250lbs... I just told him to shut his mouth and go home

alcohol in eastern european countries is a problem - poor angry drunks don't make for fun times.
