The Official INTERNEXT thread, be truthful, was it worth going?
No Bro' bullshit.
Truthfully, how was the show? busy? slow? Was it worth the time and money spent? |
I did have a great show. I was able to get a lot of business done. I saw old friends and made new ones as well. Like all shows, shows are what you make of them.
Thank you to everyone at AVN that worked their butt off to put on the show. |
I had an awesome show. Getting back to my roots, traffic and sales.
|
Very Much so... :pimp
|
OMG, it was so good!
It was so great to see everyone! I did soooooooooooooo much business! I can't wait to wrap up all these deals and get those millions of dollars back!!!!! My expense account is sooooooooo justified!!!!!!!!!! I am the B2B business master!!!!!!!! I worked from 6am - 5am the next morning every day running from business meeting to business meeting locking down million click exit deals and members area upsells. i think i may have gotten at least another 10 million clicks a day to my programs sites at this show. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
The show was great for the Top Choice Crew...
Sure it appeared smaller than previous years, everyone's complaining about the market becoming spread to thin... But as Ken pointed out above... the shows are what you make of them, and we made this show a good one. |
Anyone have some pics? Haven't saw too many yet.

Who won the 20 big screen plasma TVs at the Ibill booth?

to be totally honest, the show floor is like half (or less) than it used to be, and that hotel just charges retarded prices for anything you want there, it's a beautiful place, i'm not totally cheap, but i couldnt help feeling like a total retarded after paying $7.25 for a bottle of water lol

i miss you all already lol |

My first show...absolutely loved it. Had an amazing time, made many contacts and many friends :)
Everyone kept saying that the exhibitors area was the smallest it's ever been, but there were so many people there! I had a blast!!! Nice to have met you all! :thumbsup |
Awesome for me
This show was awesome for me, mostly because I already know almost everybody so I knew what they look like. as they walked by etc.....
BTW: Newbies don't have this going for them, I'd like to know what they thought. Talked to most of the people I needed to and relaxed by the GFY/PLAYBOY cabana all weekend getting hammered and tanned.:thumbsup Thanks PB and GFY:) That said the inside booth part of the show seemed to suck giant hairy balls, I walked through once at opening and once on Saturday. (Sorely lacking in booths this year) Maybe it's cabanas for all from now on. I would have been pissed if I got a booth inside, that's for real. |
had a great time...
|
i need <><
|
This was actually my first show and it went well for me, met A LOT of people and had a good time. Couldn't ask for much more (except maybe to lower the prices on the alcohol haha) :thumbsup:thumbsup
|
I think I'm going next year.... For the first time ever!
:) |
The show was definately smaller than previous shows.
The show floor was less than half of what it was last year. Everyone here this year were the same as last year. The conferences were pretty much the same as last year. One thing very obvious were the lack of parties. Gone were the "My Big Fat Greek Dinner Party" and the "Epoch Rooftop Party" that made last year's Internext so much fun. On the other hand, the smaller show made it easier than ever to network. I hit all the meetings I had planned, and even managed to do some business in a taxi and at the pool. Smaller show yes, but more relaxed too. I don't know if its the Hotel or the organizers to blame, but the sky-high prices have got to go. $25.00 for a Breakfast Buffet? $55 for a Room-Service Hamburger? $8 for a bottle of water? And what the hell was with all of those Security guards this year? Speaking of Security Guards, get this. A couple who's name I forget (sorry) were kissing in the pool. Not fucking, not girating, not grabbing or even carressing. Just kissing. And then this fucking Nazi-douchebag motherfucker security guard appears and tell them to STOP and SPREAD OUT. Like... WHAT!! WHAT THE FUCK?? I'm really sorry but with this kind of bullshit, Internext is no fun. I usually bring about 10 employees with me to each Internext but I'm glad I only brought one this time. Next year I made not even stay for the entire event if its anything like it was this weekend. (Sorry Oganizers I don't mean to dump on you, but whoever sets policies and prices at these shows has got to calm the fuck down. Let ADULTS be ADULTS and show some affection, and start fucking us up the ass with $8 Bottled water). The Mansion Boat party was GREAT. It started late but that was it. The ride was great, the food was great, the drinks for FREE, and the people were fun and informative. We need more boat parties at these things. MICHEL! We want a boat party at Qwebec Expo! Cheers All! Mark Prince http://www.2Much.net http://www.LiveCamNetwork.com |
i thought the show was great! it seemed like there was never a dull moment. there was so much going on pretty much all the time.
|
This was my first internext so Im not able to compare to the years past but did have a blast!! I was finally able to put the faces to the people I have been talking to on Icq. Everyone I met was so nice and made our first show as a company a good one. I cant wait to see everyone at the shows in the future.

Was definitely worth it from all the business that was done, contacts made and friends that were seen.
Oh and I saw the most beautiful girl ever... http://www.lia19.de/Resources/lia0re2a.jpeg Lia19! :eyecrazy She's great |

I will say that ive done a ton of shows, and this is my second time doing this show, times have changed from a few years ago and Ill repeat the same words many other muttered, the show floor is half the size. I think this is a unique show and Im almost certain that there will be some changes, having a convention floor and having outside cabana's on 2 opposite sides of the pool area isnt something I honestly can ever see working or making sense to sponsors or show goers in the future. If you outside by the pool area, swimming or whatever else, the last thing your going to do is jump out of the pool and run into the convention floor 800 yards away. I had a great show, because I did exactly what I wanted to while I was there and that worked for me. As for next year, Ill def. do it again most likely in a different fashion though. |

Right On Ken ... :thumbsup I had a terrific show. I've been able to see all the ones I wanted and I also had lots of unexpected meeting which brought nice business deals. No matter the size of the show, there will be ALWAYS people you never had the chance to meet and do business with ... But what the hell, I might be biased :winkwink: |
so what you mean is if i put $10,000 in to a show ill get $10,000 out of it at least
interesting to see the bro club is alive and well |

I can say that as a company and personally we had a great show. As a sponsor this was our first show, but as an attendee i was by no means a first-timer. That being said, both personally and as a company, i believe the show to have been a great success. Many great deals were made, many more seeds were planted, and i will definitely be there again next year!
Props to AVN for a great show! |

Nice seeing you by the way, it's beautiful watching the sun come up in south florida. I'll see you soon. :) In response to this thread's title - Internext was a great show for myself. Plenty of business with new folks and some long time friends of mine. I got the chance to get to know a few GFYer's much better and some for the first time, which was cool. - - Jscott, The Heron, Cybermike, Reak AGV and the Triple10Vault gang to name a few - - :thumbsup Shows are what you make of them. I try to meet as many new people as possible. If you are a golfer, I'd stress attending these golf events. They are usually a day before the first day of the show and well worth it. I always make good contacts with folks who have the power to make things happen. I would like to mention that the Mansion Boat Party was one of my favorite events. The music was great (the dj took most of my requests, however he wouldn't play David Allan Coe and he never heard of Snoop's ain't no fun, which to me is mind boggling. Big thanks to Oystein and Gary. :2 cents: |
We had a great show, my wife shot 14 scenes with 11 different girls. I signed 2 new VOD deals and will be sigining a deal for DVD compilations. We were all also able to generate tons of interest in our mobile pron channel - www.midnitemonkey.com - I am very gald that we went

The show is fantastic for networking and making business deals.
I am very happy with the results of this conference. A great mix of business, fun and debauchery! You can see the pics we took at Adult Webmaster Gathering. |

That would be Jake Sweet and September Lee, unless it happened to more people than them... security was def a bit overzealous given the nature of the show... :thumbsup |
There's always something to complain about when attending any event like this. I can too but prefer to look at the positives instead.
Great people + Great atmosphere + Some awesome parties, and invite only gatherings coupled with a few planned meetings and a few unexpected ones made this show exactly what it has always been for me - a relaxing/stress free business gathering and semi vacation I thoroughly enjoyed and made a bunch of $$ from! It all comes down to ROI and the advantage of seeing people and being seen. These are the types of shows that always pay for themselves in spades for me. I?m glad I decided last minute to attend! Thanks to the AVN staff that was ALWAYS there to help out when necessary and of course ALL the sponsors that participated to make it an outstanding show for me personally! :thumbsup :thumbsup BTW - NO RAIN or THUNDERSTORMS - perfect weather all week! :) |

Seriously...I had a blast like I do at all shows I attend. Had some amazing dinners, met some very cool new people, and had some drinks with old friends. Show floor indeed the smallest I've seen, not at all what we expected from the floor plan we had when we got the booth, but surprisingly we did lot's of biz at the booth ! See you all in Amsterdam !!!! |
The one thing that threw me was all the KIDS there, everyday we saw some mom with 3-4 kids coming down to the pool right in the middle of the day, Friday some latin family came out of nowhere (employees?) while half naked girls are passing out promo stuff and tanning.
|
The show was awesome, fantastic for business! As with all shows there are high and low points of the venues, staff, etc, but as far as being an industry event, it was one of the better shows this year for business most certainly! Had a great time, good job AVN (pardon me while I now go back to bed and pass out!)

Great Show....
This show was amazing for me. I've never been to the FL Internext so it was even more special. I really enjoyed meeting with everyone and appreciate that you took time out of your busy day to see us up in the suite.
I make it a point every show to meet 1 client and also meet 1 person in the industry that I don't know yet. Thanks to PlatiumBucks for having that amazingly fucking HOT wet t-shirt contest. That was a lot of fun dumping water on a hottie! Overall this was a fantastic show for us as a whole. GO TEAM!! :) |
I liked it. It was my first show, so I didn't talk to too many people, but those I did talk to were worth it.
I absolutely agree about the whole pricing thing. I was staying with a friend up in Fort Lauderdale, so I rented a car. Because of this, I was pretty much banned from alcohol during the event and forced to pay like 4 dollars for a 250 ml bottle of water. I was also ambushed by a 15-dollar check for one glass of scotch on the rocks. Because of this, I would rather get in the car, pop the roof, and drive to lunch and dinner to other places in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. I usually behave on these type of events, so security was not an issue, although I did notice that there were a lot of them and felt very uncomfortable when walking in to the hotel because they would stare at you like if you were doing something wrong. The whole event reminded me of when I attended similar ones as part of my past job. To those I sat down and chatted with, follow-up emails will come in the following days. I just got back today to my cave in South America. :1orglaugh Congratulations to PlatinumBucks for a wet t-shirt contest that was off the hook! I have lot's of pics, need 2257s for them though :1orglaugh |
Show was great for us...we did a cabana for the first time. It was balls hot in there without fans (for the first day only...til we bought some), but having meetings in the pool was excellent.
I usually plan a ton of meetings at shows to maximize the time there. This was no exception and there was a TON of business done for us. |
We had some Killer Business! Very productive show for the Sex Date Cash team. The Cabanna was hot, but that was about it....

Guess that would be a perk of it being slower this year... |
Thanks for all the kind words and more importantly, I'm glad to see that there was a lot of business done and that people had a lot of fun. If something like Internext doesn't provide value for the people who support it and attend the event, then it really isn't worth the time to put together.
I think this show was successful for everyone involved, and while it wasn't perfect, we'll make some tweaks and come back with a better event next year, which I am already looking forward to. On a side note, we neither control the hotel's pricing structures or security. The Westin is a major hotel chain that 1. considers themselves to be an upscale venue and prices accordingly (even for important pornographers), and 2. has an image to maintain (even at a convention of important pornographers). Year after year, someone tries to imply that AVN is at fault for the hotels pricing and policies. So let me throw out this disclaimer: AVN does not own Westin. It's like someone dropping $400 at the craps table during the Vegas show and blaming us because we have a room block in Mandalay. |
