Why do people turn on the "Captcha" feature on LinkEx?
I mean, if you're using this script, it checks for a recip link before adding a link exchange, right?
so why not allow people to easily use the AUTOADD option if the script will make sure they have your link on their site? I don't get how in this case the Captcha feature helps... do you only want to do link exchange with hard working people and keep the lazy webmasters away? if so, I understand... but that's about the only think the captcha feature does, because the script already does what actually matters. that said, if you don't use the captcha feature, feel free to post your linex urls here :winkwink: |
whats the captcha feauture?

NO CAPTCHA |
Don't know about this script but maybe some webmasters are a little picky about what sites they want linking to theirs?

turning on the "captcha" feature doesn't neccessarily improve the quality of the sites linking to yours. it just forces the webmaster to fill a form. still the only thing that he needs for his link to appear on your site is a link back from his. |
to be able to notice first because of all caps!

to prevent auto submit software...

Sure, it looks for the backlink, but heaps of worthless orphan page backlinks won't help you in any way. Feeling safe, just because you get a backlink is a big mistake...shitty backlinks in exchange for good ones isn't a fair trade. While captchas don't prevent spam, it requires some knowledge to circumvent them, it's pretty easy but most spammers don't bother and go for sites without them. |

If you have to ask then you've overlooked something that others haven't. All the reasons you've listed to not have it are no-brainers, but you're thinking inside the box. Its also a reason thats best not pointed out.
