when exactly does typing a keyword in IE7's url field brings you to the website?

instead of the google's search results :question

ok, may be hard to understand what i mean, so here's an example

IE 7 users - type in your browser:

ladbrokes (without the .com )

what you get? I get redirected to the website ladbrokres.com
now type in the browser:

fedex (without the .com )

what you get? I get google with search results for Fedex

anyone getting different results with IE 7 for these above examples?

I get the google results page for both...
When i type in the name 'ladbrokes' without the doy com, ie just adds the hrttp:// and then a / at the end
http://ladbrokes/
It gives me a google page

I know that FF will redirect you to the first resul for that keyword on Google.

Maybe IE7 does the same thing? It probably uses live.com to do the search though.
