I can't believe sites like Alexa place your full info on their site

Wtf is up with that? Fuckers like them are forcing me to either use fake whois info or domainsbyproxy for all my domains. I mailed them to take all my personal info down instead of me doing that for every fucking domain they have listed of me but ofcourse no reply.

Im gonna look for peoples names, addresses and phone # who work there and put them all over the fucking place. Im not joking either.

Dirty F 08-15-2007 09:24 AM

Maybe they will listen when their names appears on 200 tranny pages.

teg0 08-15-2007 09:27 AM

using fake info for your whois is a bad idea. A simple form submitted to the ICANN people can get your site shut down if you're using fake whois. Also with US Law H.R.3632 you can get your ass handed to you if you get in trouble and your site has a fake whois.

Thats why i always use my real info but shit like this forces me to do something about it.

darksoul 08-15-2007 09:32 AM

what annoys me most is "other domains owned by the same person" thing
where it lists mainstream sites next to adult sites.

polish_aristocrat 08-15-2007 09:45 AM

Dirty Franck, my Dutch friend, could you explain to me why having your real info on alexa is a poblem for you but having it on whois is no problem?

I would assume more people check whois than alexa anyway, but hm... perhaps Im wrong...

you mean google spiders alexa and then when someone does a google search for "franck von....(your surname)" then he sees the adult sites you run?

It is a bunch of BS and it pisses me off as well. They have no legit reason to post personal info like that.

Evil E 08-15-2007 10:34 AM

whois info is public info.

Doing that is one thing and already pissed me off but when you mail them to ask them to remove my info and they dont reply that really got me fucking annoyed. Im not doing it one by one. You have to look up all your sites and edit the info and then confirm with the mail address from that site. Ofcourse i dont have mail set up for each domain so you then have to upload a text file to each domain and let them fetch it. I mean i shouldnt have to waste time like this to get MY personal info removed from their sites. Its totally retarded.

But once again. One of the coming days im gonna look up any info i can find on some employees there and place it all over the place and it wont be on mainstream sites. I will then mail them so show it and when they ask for it to be removed i ofcourse wont reply.

Antonio 08-15-2007 10:40 AM

register your domains at namecheap - 1 year free whois guard + buy bulk whois guards after that for like $0.50 per domain or so

Dirty F 08-23-2007 09:25 AM

So right now im talking to customer support in a chat window. They simply don't respond to remove requests whatsoever. They obviously don't give a shit. And the monkey on the chat is basically calling me an idiot for using whois info. I asked him how he would feel i took his phone # from the phonebook and placed it all over the place, then tell him he is stupid for having a phone # and from then on ignore all his removal requests. He didnt respond to that.

That's why you use something such as Namecheap's WHOISGuard service, where they supply an address and unique e-mail address and silently forward all correspondance on to you.

Indeed, and Namecheap throw it in for free with their $8.88 domains.

Only for one year though, then it all goes live on THEIR 'aboutus.com' service... :disgust

Vick! 08-25-2007 07:52 AM

Why don't you simply go to this page and they will let you use whatever information you want there. Fake it or provide limited info .. your choice.

Nop, it wont be. Its still fucking there and ive come to the point to contact my lawyer about this and it seems to be the only solution.

that is nothing. There are sites where you can simply type in someone's name and get their entire history. Every single place you ever lived, your credit score, any trouble with the law, your family and where they live..... everything.

I used their contact form for information and asked them to change information and it took about a week but they did changed it.
They also removed sites from the "also owned" column.

Wait about a week or so then check it again.
