Rob Zombie remake of "Halloween" out Aug 31

:helpme:helpme:helpme this movie has scared the fuck out of me all the time |
I think that this one is going to be great. I have no problem with Hollywood rehashing cool shit, so long as it's done right. I think that this movie will be a good example of how remakes can be done right.

damn...i wont be able to sleep with the lights out again...
|
I bet it's going to suck.
|
Thanks for the link, it looks really scary I better not watch it alone:helpme
|
That's going to be cool.
|
his movie 'the devils rejects' really surprised me, its a very good, gory and funny movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395584/) i loved that shit. So im definately gonna watch this one!
|
Terrible PR move to release that movie so early, I could understand Sept 31 but Aug 31... unless they are hoping to get it to dvd in time for Halloween.
|
Zombie rocks on remakes. Definitely worth seeing.
|
Rob Zombie's problem is that he overdoes shit IMO. Too over the top most of the time.
|
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the first one, and it is still good. Stupid to remake this movie, I guess being a "Cover-Director" is cool now.

This will be better than the first and the first was my all time favorite movie. The reason is rob zombie knows how to capture realism of horror in his movies. This movie will show how he became Michael Myers with great depth, unlike the once over carpenter in the original. What I like is that in the original you never saw real gore or much of the actual murders and I am sure that we will get a ton of both from Zombie. |
I'm hard with just the tought of it...

I think he also did something recently called "werewolf women of the SS with nicholas cage as Fu Man Chu. |

|
Damn.. I did not know this was out so soon.. The 1st one is an all time classic and I like Robs other movies so I have been looking forward to this one..

I cant wait to see it. I always wanted more about Mike Meyers origin.
I wish they would have explained more about that other guy in 5 that stomped the dog and had the tattoo. |

Problem I see is the original did not need gore to make it the classic horror movie it is. Then we all know Zombie loves the gore.
Having it explain his past may be nice but I honestly would rather have Carpenter do it if anyone. |
The original Halloween was the all time best. It didn't need the gore to be scary.
I like the fact that Rob is spending more time in the past. It should be good either way. Looking forward to it |

|
its gonna be a good one!

I can't wait for this movie.
I can understand why people are worried that this movie is going to suck. Most of the remakes and prequels that have come out starting with Star Wars have sucked really hard. However, this is going to be different. Rob Zombie knows how to write and direct a 21st century horror movie. He understands what scares us and knows how to use that to create the atmosphere that he is looking for. Sure, the first one didn't have much gore, but then again, that movie is not all that relevant these days in the context of being a scary movie by todays standards. This is going to update the story and visuals and bring it into 2007 which is going to be awesome. |
House og thousands corpse was so OTT lol
|
I didnt even know he was making one and now you throw this big fucking awesome suprise in my face!!! FUCK YEAH!

Ones mind can make up much worse than any director, CGI, or effect can ever do. As for context WTF are ya talking about? This movie is timeless. Though I am sure even Rob will not forgo the William Shatner face I hope. Reminder this is the movie that set the stage for slasher movies, however this one did not overstep it and show the gore as they very well could have, it was a choice and a wise one at that. To me that is like remaking Psycho and showing the knife attack in the shower instead of just the shrill and the blood swirling down the drain. |
The horror movie genre is not really my thing.
