Not working here either ;)

seeric 08-21-2007 02:52 PM

it would be really hard for us to be the reason, considering we haven't done anything yet. :)

they could be under ddos, i think if the host took them offline for other dmca compaints there would be a page on piracy if it was some organization responsible for it.

this looks like ddos to me.

I told you I like you man. Consider this one of many favors to come to those that appreciate. Those that do not? Look what happened in this thread.

Watch me go Criss Angel on your asses. Name the site, place time. Dial them up. 404? Woof! Poof! Gone.

:winkwink:

Challenge me.

pornguy 08-21-2007 02:55 PM

Well well. Seems A1R3K wields more power than he thunk.

If you watch the history of the the pirate bay it's been down more then once for various issues. they have had a few hosts pull the plug on them and they appear elsewhere.

I can say the past 2-3 week's I and 2 others have had a bit of correspondence with their host about the pirate bay.

extreme 08-21-2007 03:02 PM

The pirate bay has never had any host pull their plug on them.

They're hosted at an ISP founded by one of the guys who also started the pirate bay. That ISP has been raided by the police once but that has so far not led to any charges.

This looks like a webserver problem since the tracker still appears to be running.

Of course they will be back up soon.

They are going to be one of the toughest ones to battle.

this isn't my doing. i wouldn't take credit for it if it was. :)

here is the citing from where i got that quote above.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we subconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

From A RETURN TO LOVE, by Marianne Williamson.

That email is not fake. I meant to add that :2 cents:

I want gigantic ones. I only possess about 7.5 million machines that I acquired from my network of TGP/SPAM pages. It takes quite a few to drag a site hosted on multiple servers to it's knees. One at a time... baby steps.

Megarotic? Welcome to Chinese IPs. Stay tuned folks.

Violetta 08-21-2007 03:42 PM

down for me.... damn

Brujah 08-21-2007 03:46 PM

I think this is why they were down for a bit today...

The legendary BitTorrent site “SuprNova” will return today, courtesy of The Pirate Bay. Not surprisingly, the new and improved SuprNova has a special message to the copyright police: “You are the past and the forgotten, we are the Internet and the future”.

The SuprNova team is proud to relaunch this piece of Internet history and they let us know: “SuprNova has been down for some years due to some heavy pressure from the copyright lobby. The former owner sloncek donated SuprNova to The Pirate Bay - and as you know, we like to kick ass and bow for noone!”

SuprNova crawls more than 25.000 trackers and has a huge database of more than 1.000.000 torrents with nearly 25.000.000 peers. This means that SuprNova will start where it left off, as one of the biggest BitTorrent indexing sites.

Last but not least, the SuprNova team has a strong message for the anti-pirates:

“This is how it works. Whatever you sink, we build back up. Whomever you sue, ten new pirates are recruited. Wherever you go, we are already ahead of you. You are the past and the forgotten, we are the internet and the future.”

They don't seem to realize that if no one paid for the movies and software, nothing would be created for them to pirate...

Dirty D 08-24-2007 02:11 PM

I recommend Vigilante style justice.

Many of us are world travellers and NOT afraid to fuck up a thief.

An international bounty would be bad ass.
Half the Bounty would be paid when the owner gets a beat down or killed.
The other Half would be paid when the stolen material is removed.

With all the sponsors kicking in $1,000 each...
We could have one hell of a six or seven figure bounty!
Allocate a five figure bounty per large pirate site.

Treat the Internet like the Wild West and get on an Internet Wanted Poster: Dead or Alive.

will76 08-24-2007 02:28 PM

Honestly, fuck playing by the rules at this point.

Fire needs to be fought with fire.

I am not *directly* affected by this shit and it pisses me off to no end. I can't believe how those of you who own sponsors or produce content don't go off the deep end over this shit.

I would find someone who lives close to the owners of the pirate bay and see if they could "talk" some sense into them.

exaclty, but they don't care. They are like locus, they will devalue our industry to the point no one will pay any more money for membership sites because they can find it easy for free. At that point all pics and video type sites go out of business and only dating and live cam sites will be left.

The pirate bay sites will have no content left to steal but they will have made their billions by then and they will have tons of old content that people can keep trading and viewing for several years. We are the only ones that lose.

How you guys who are getting fucked over by this can have drinks and shits and giggles with companies like AFF at conventions is beyond me. If my content was on these torrent sites and AFF was helping to fund them I wouldn't be able to hold myself back.
