**MEGAROTIC say BYE BYE to memberships! Billing PULLED on them today ;)
 

After some leg work, tons of e mails, and a little time I was able to get the main biller on Megarotic to suspend the account until all questionable content was off the site. Which means most of their content by their regulations. They still have one biller left, but after a long series of talks with them they should have them shut off in no time. Which means by the end of today no one will be able to purchase or rebill or anything a premium membership to Megarotic :)

If you do more then bitch on GFY you can get shit done. People say on here that we cannot hurt the tube sites hah, this is proof that with some time and leg work you most certainly can. This is just step one of my battle with them, give me a week and it's going to get worse.

Being that they are in the top 100 on Alexa and at times in the top 50 I can assure you that the premium memberships were a big part of their revenue.

With the amount of video on that site you can be sure their BW bill is sick.

Just the AFF ads alone are not going to pay for the BW and to run that site.

it is one of those deals where if you make an example out of the biggest site possible, the smaller guys will scramble for the dark corners like the roaches they are.

Once you have company A losing their processing, it is also easier to go to other processors and show why they lose their processing, and why they should drop processing for other similar sites. You have to start somewhere. When you chop down the largest tree, the entire forest is a little shorter.

I would be curious about the pitch in general. Did you point out the liabilities, or what?

If you want webmasters to be proactive, maybe you could post, or we could develop, an effective form letter that can be sent to billing companies for pirate sites. Maybe that would help empower an army of webmasters to combat the plague of stolen content.

yep exactly - if the general pitch was laid out and 100+ program owners all forwarded the same type of message - approach - consequences - then perhaps combined everyone could help to wipe more of them out..
