Between 500 to 1000 joins per minute.

500 to 1000 joins per minute.

This is what I believe to be the average total adult paysite market to be.

What do you think?

OzMan 08-24-2007 10:44 PM

I do that on a slow day

Spunky 08-24-2007 11:02 PM

I wish I was a baller

NoWhErE 08-24-2007 11:03 PM

If that were true, wouldn't the processors be some of the richest companies in the world?

Don't encourage them :winkwink:

WiredGuy 08-24-2007 11:11 PM

1000 joins/minute = 1,440,000 joins per day.
I somewhat doubt there's 1.4MM joins per day happening.

Divide by 10 imho, adults sites no cams or dating

esnem 08-24-2007 11:45 PM

1 million joins a day, at say an average value across the board of $50 per join

that's a $50 million a day industry or a $18,250,000,000 a year industry.

that's 18.25 trillion.

i think you're a bit off :)

fluffygrrl 08-25-2007 12:37 AM

Let me refer you to actual research : http://www.zenofeller.com/clickmystery.php

So, total ecommerce, 25billion a quarter, 275million or so a day.

I'd guess google/adbrite etc take most of the pie. I'd guess amazon etc take a good chunk too. I'd guess the guys selling computers and corporate shit take most of the rest of the pie.

Adult probably has a decent share of it, GFY-type adult (yes, by that I mean smalltimer types like yourselves who think wealth = house, car, house, car and dominican cigar) may be .1 to 1% of that, probably closer to the .1.

That's 3M to 275k a day. Taking 30$ as the average payout for a join, you're looking at 100,000 to 9500 joins a day, or about one a minute.

Which somehow sounds about right.

isnt' that 18.25 Billion? slight difference there :)

collegeboobies 08-25-2007 12:47 AM

Interesting that ecommerce is so huge and google revenues are in 1 bil a year range. That leaves $274 billion for everyone else a year, must be a shitload of smalltimers splitting a few billion of those dollars.

collegeboobies 08-25-2007 12:47 AM

With $20 billion in ecommerce, 100k people can do $200k in sales a year1

fluffygrrl 08-25-2007 12:49 AM

Yea but you aren't thinking about corporate buyings.

Some comp opens a new plant in Pakistan, they will buy steam turbines, from say Malaysia, off the internet, half a million a pop. That type of deal.

exactly lol
and 50 bucks per signup? ain't we a big unrealistic here?

fuzzylogic 08-25-2007 01:48 AM

this thread is stupid. it gives me hope though that making stupid threads gets my sig viewed.

i think a better title should be "how many joins per minute do all adult sites make combined?"

who 08-25-2007 01:50 AM

Not possible. Also there's a HUGE difference between 500 and 1000 joins per minute. So you're not being very specific, in any case.

zand_stein 08-25-2007 01:54 AM

i agree with that...... in fact maybe more than that.........
lots of horny peeps in the world.........

polish_aristocrat 08-25-2007 01:55 AM

wayyyy to much

polle54 08-25-2007 02:12 AM

well it's not that hard to calculate.

The Online adult industry was in 2006 a $2.8 billion dollar industry.

thats $233,333,333.00 dollars a month, hence it's $7,777.777.00/day

and lets say a sponsor overall will get $50 on average out of each person who signs up.

that's around 155.555 sales a day and a day has 24x60 = 1440 minutes

So the average is 108 joins per minute or 216 if the average value of a costumor is only $25 and not $50.

From what I have read on xbiz and ynot, the adult industry membership sites earn 3,500,000,000 year
devided by $24.95 membership per month
7.12 Million memberships per year
devided by 365 days = 19,506 signups a day

So 19,506 signups x $40 (average payout to webmasters) = $780,240 a day.

The entire industry earns 12 billion a year, that covers dvds, videos, toys, magazines and everything else thats not memberships sites.

Your thoughts?

Wrong.

testpie 08-25-2007 06:55 AM

That'd be between 500 and 1000 joins that weren't sent by me.

Maybe, but I don't think so.

I said 500-1000 joins per minute.

Most new joins are trials, (either free trial or cheap trial)

Your 50 dollar figure is way off. :2 cents:

I think it's more like 10 bucks or less. :2 cents:

tical 08-26-2007 01:16 AM

you ever look at subscription ids that processors use? i'm guessing they're simply incremented

so if you have a site, take a look at some an hour apart... then do the math :)

Wrong.

Please find some numbers that proves me wrong this was an estimate found on a very big american news site.

When you show me some numbers that proves me wrong please post em with source and I will post my source.

Trixxxia 08-26-2007 01:32 AM

I could be off but I'd think that it would be more around 175-200 signups a minute (across all billing companies) - membership sites (no dating/cams) - new joins, not rebills/renewals.

**tical, I'd assume that rebills would also increment the sequence so it wouldn't be giving you good 'estimates', right?** (I could be off on this too) hahah

the subscription id is set with the initial join and follows it for the life of the membership, so yes you are off :upsidedow
