Fifteen ambulances, two air ambulances and eight fire trucks raced to the scene at Hazelmere Trailer Park, he said. Smoke could be seen billowing from the crash site from miles away, according to CTV.

I hate it when one of our best military war planes goes down in flames in a non-combat situation.

That would be funny if I were evil.

That is some serious shit - and is not limited to Canada.

Got a friend who is a shooter and was doing a flight course on balloons and was lucky to have Virgin Atlantic's main pilot as a trainer (was a neighbor and since retired).

But... an event came up where he needed a fully-qualified co-pilot (the VA trainer was not available for that date) and his co-pilot/trainer ended up crashing the friggin balloon and it caught fire - they were lucky to get out of the way before being burned to death.

This co-pilot was apparently the president of some balloon org and has since been suspended from flying balloons and there is still an enquiry going on. Meanwhile the shooter has elected to postone his course in flying balloons - the shock factor still exists :winkwink:

Two people were burned to death - and presumably more injured while jumping from the balloon.

nice that people can make jokes about people watching their family members get burned to death right in front of their eyes. its exactly that kind of light-hearted fun and whimsy that makes GFY a great place to be.

morons.

Vitasoy 08-26-2007 12:33 AM

Damn.. my condolences to their families
