WTF is it with this webmaster. I meet this guy Brad in LA at the Webmaster Access back in 2004 (at the time he was working for Adult Lounge, now I think he's working for Lion Dollars). We had some drinks and talked biz. Kept in tounch for over 3 years now untill 5 minutes ago.

I don't think Brad is trying to fraud a poker site. What this looks like to me, is a CPA campaign media buy with the site, with a min $20 deposit. Its nothing more than incentivized traffic being sent to the site to complete the buy.

All I gotta say is, $20 min deposits now? Wow, they must really be hurting.

Its fraud, but you would of course defend those practices, since its the same thing Madawgs do to get signups from hos warez sites to your program.

Remember that everything you write, post or send on the internet will be there for anyone to do anything they want to with.

If you DO NOT represent a company then you can basically act any way your choose. But if you DO represent a company within a certain industry then common courtesy should be the rule.

Sounds like someone did not know how to respect someone's wishes to be involved in something that they chose not to. If that person did not want to be involved then it is their choice.

If someone wants to block someone then it is also their choice.

I have chatted with Zorgman on a number of occasions for about a year now and have offered comments and critiques on projects that he is working on. Whenever I was busy or unable to help I would just say so and that was the end of it. This is part of doing business in hopes that one day we may indeed do some business.

For someone that is not able to respect someones private financial dealings all I have to say is.... NOT COOL! If in fact that person does represent an established company within our industry then it definitely sheds a NEGATIVE light on the employer.

The casino pays out money to refer other gamblers to sign up to their service, in this case the person Brad is asking to signup isnt interested in actually gambling, he's only interested in getting his "friend" the bonus payout.

How is this different from what KimJI suggested? You pay webmasters to refer surfers to your sites....so if I start a new project that gives an incentive for surfers to sign up to your trials then you would be ok with it right? Since you are defending what Brad did.

casinos are different than adult sites. if i deposit that 20, i am definitely playing it. if i ever want to gamble online again, there's a good chance i'll use a casino that i've used before, even more likely to use a casino that i used last.

that is the value and that's why it's worth it for a casino to pay on those leads. adult sites are an entirely different ballgame.
