Do you manually submit forms ?

I built a little program for people that submit forms (blogs, tgp's , forums etc ) manually.

http://www.urlbucks.com/form.exe

What the program does is it stays open over your other windows keeping text boxes filled with info you might want to quickly copy and paste such as "name" "email" "gallery" etc. It also allows you to add and save your profiles info

for those familiar with google toolbars "autofill" feature it's kind of like that but it doesnt actually autofill things. The main drawback of googles autofill is that it only works on standard forms and anything not standard wont be autofilled.

I want some input from people on features they might like to see added.

ANY constructive suggestions will get you a free copy of any advanced version that i might sell.

The secret 11'th Commandment Moses brought down from the mountain is rumored to be "don't you ever click any .exe file made by spokeythebear"

But I can bump it for you

And see I thought the commandment was: "Thou shalt clicketh the links brought forth by the smoke from bears for he is righteous."

WarChild 09-01-2007 03:25 PM

Umm honestly, I'd just use an existing submitter for that kind of work.

lol nothing dangerous .. just a simple usefull program, i didn't encode anything so it would be easy to ascertain anything bad before you downloaded it.

Thanks, it seems useful. i'll use it for opening new accounts on social bookmark sites

this is more slower paced than a submitter , its not really for that. It's geared at custom forms and such that can't be autosubmitted easily. ( captcha's etc )

like for example on gfy . ( this is kind of a useless example but should give you some ideas )

sometimes people write a little custom color signature below each post like

Smokey THE Bear

the code is long and laborious to type out each time and not usefull enough to save and open txt files to copy and paste everytime.

so with my program you can create custom tags for gfy save it as a profile then the program "floats" over the gfy window while your typing so you can quickly copy paste into gfy form.

exactly you get the idea..

make a gfy profile then setup like 10 of your top sponsors in bbcode so you can quickly post them in threads when you see them asked like "spam me with webcam sponsors" :thumbsup

Here's a very similar add-on for FireFox.

exactly , its like using notepad but it floats over all the other windows so you dont have to click back between windows and select text , you can do it with one click to copy :thumbsup ,

you can enter custom text then save that profile in .txt format so you can refer to it later.

You know i bet someone could make some good money hiring manual submitters , by giving them the program and a list of sites to submit , then you just send them the profiles for them to load into the program including gallery recip description etc .

or even better .. hmm maybe i shouldnt mention this heh. if you started a program and paid people like 5 cents a backlink to submit your site/gallery etc. all you gotta do is have them get the days "profiles" to post , and voila they go find places to submit for you. the program could record what places they submit to for review :thumbsup

Smokey, I'm working on a Tech hang-around forum type of thing, for myself and the people I work with. One of the sections is "cool tools you must have" Can I post it there, and what credits or links can I add for them to find you?

Or should I just write "you don't find smokey, smokey finds YOU" ?

marcjacob 09-01-2007 04:25 PM

Doesnt work for me, says something about missing files? Im on Vista if that makes a difference.

no credit needed , feel free to post it. i put my name on the program.. and its just in basic mode now i plan on adding some features.. if you can think of any or anyone on your forum suggests any feel free to pass them along.

I think one thing i will add is asection with a list of frequent places you submit so you can save those along with your profile if you want and open them with one click

if you post the files it asks for i can prob track them down , its likely a missing dll or you can google them and install them yourself

nico-t 09-01-2007 05:01 PM

nice.... when i used to manual submit galleries i used a self made html file looking kinda like yours, with copy buttons next to each field plus a character counter next to em to select different description lengths.

It looks a bit archaic, and it is, but you can get used to it. Clippings along with an AutoForm extension can almost mimmick RoboForm, but not quite.

I've used it a few times, and just thought I'd offer it up to those FF folks.

I've gotten so spoiled by KDE that I don't even notice what I haven't saved in my "Wallet." anymore. :1orglaugh

then go to Startbar>run and type

regsvr32 \windows\system32\RICHTX32.OCX

Here's a suggestion for ya Smokey...

What if you made hot keys for copying each field? Like ctrl-alt-1,2,3, etc.

ive a little soft im using for submitting its names softwise shifter
it look like your but for copy im using key such as shift f1 shift f2 etc...
it simple and fast:)

SmokeyTheBear 09-02-2007 02:07 PM

ok i updated the program to include simple hotkeys

theres 9 hotkeys representing the first 9 text boxes

you use CTRL + 1 thru 9

so you can simply go CTRL 1 then CTRL V to paste into the form your submitting to grab the first text box

http://urlbucks.com/smokeyform.exe

i made mine a bit faster.. instead of using shift keys it uses CTRL so you can do it even faster CTRL 1 then CTRL v you dont even gotta let go of the ctrl key

SmokeyTheBear 09-02-2007 02:12 PM

btw for those who get a missing OCX file the one above doesnt work but this one does

http://www.ocxdump.com/download-ocx-.../download.html

save it into your windows system32 directory then go to run on your start bar and type

regsvr c:\windows\system32\RICHTX32.OCX

How about an option to open a local folder and then it would fill copy boxes with all the file paths so you could quickly copy-paste them.

Useful for sites/forms that let you upload say 5-10 images, you quickly copy-paste in the paths instead of clicking 'File' and browsing for each one individually. Would definitely save time there.

you should be able to do that already because the text boxes are custom to whatever you want..

so couldnt you just put c:\path\to\image\thumb.jpg

or maybe i'm not following

RawAlex 09-02-2007 06:31 PM

I type 60 plus words per minute. It takes longer to cut and paste most stuff than it does to actually type it.

i added hotkeys so its blistering fast now. i could beat the fastest typer hands down.

all you do to copy and paste from each of the text boxes is hold down your control key and press 1 then v , and voila

i thought about that but not sure how to do it without making it more complicated..

lets see, perhaps if it was not connected to the saved profiles. just an extra list box you load from a text file for one of the boxes

roboform cant fill out all forms properly , and seems to be geared towards passwords etc ( i havent used it myself so i dont know how exactly it works )

but you cant get much easier than ctrl + 5 + v cuts and pastes for you

chodadog 09-02-2007 08:39 PM

Smokey: If you're going to do more work on it, get some inspiration from Roboform.com. I use Roboform 2 Go and it's honestly one of the handiest programs I've ever used.
