How can you close whatever application/service/process that is listening on port 80?
I have a windows server.. and im trying to close some damn process that is listening on port 80. ive killed nearly 10 services and something is still listening on port 80.
any idea how i can do this? |
I think Port 80 is the standard http port, so theres no real need to close it. Maybe try running some portscan script to see which program is running there. -> portscan.de is the only online scanner I know.

apache or iis ?

TCPView will show you what's listening on port 80. It will be listed under 'Local Address'.
(It's much prettier than netstat.) |
sounds like IIS (or any other webserver)....
