I am sitting here zoning out listening to a horror DVD on repeat shohahahay after 2 AM, my cat comes running in with what seems like a bat, I damn near fall out of my chair backwards, no shirt on and this fucking thing hits me in the back needlesstosay, I fucking screamed outloud, my girl jumps up has no clue whats going on, her eyes arent even focusing and Im jumping around the room almost naked with a fucking bat chasing me.

Well, its not a bat, my cat and dog battled for it as it made its way to the lamps in the living room.

After about 20 mins of searching for it and figured it was gone, I got closer to my station and noticed the fucking thing fucking landed on my mousepad.

Thats when I realized what it was/is.

No clue what species but this is the biggest god damned moth I have ever seen, I am guessing the fires in the surrounding hills have disturbed some truly astonishing tree dwellers, this fucking moth has a 5-6 inch wingspan. I shit you not.

You cannot imagine how fucking creeped I am right now, i keep twitcdhing thinking somethings pricking me, or crawling on me.... fuck.

I caught the fucker and me and my girl put it in a tupperware jug and its fucking under a Fender practice amp.

I cant even look at it through the plastic man, its fucking the biggest damn moth I have ever seen, I am going to look up info on, I swear the fucker is like the one on Silence of the Lambs or something, it has big black circles on the wings (from what i recall) and huge antennas and fucking legs....

shit dude, seriouslty this creeped me out bad this fucking hair tarantuala thing with legs fucked popped my bareback as Im sitting here smoked out bout to crawl into bed with my honey, god damn im fucking wired.

Well I am comparing pics right now on a site, and species.

In looking, its a (Sphingidae) "Hawk Moth" - trying to compare pics online.

It looks a little like this one, but its missing the circles and its bigger than this.

Its not the normal moth man, this thing looks a bit more "stingy" I thought it was a locust too, but its too big.

Its probably laying down its scent so others like it can follow it and attack you in your sleep.

I listen to Art Bell often, and the writer and scientist who is doing all the research on the Mothman called in about 2 years ago, (cant recall his name) it has been years...before the movie and I listen to him talk of his research.

We were following the Mothman Proph before the movie came out.

Loved the film though, but does the guy and his research no justice as all Hollywood does to good plots and scripts.

I have looked it up and even read Gardening message boards, these Moths are looked at as Vegetation protectors and bearers of plant life.

Life is a good thing, Moths dont live long, it cant be bad all the time.

I would like to think its not a bad thing.

Most ills are somatic, much like peoples paths in life.

I think a moth that big has a pretty long life span. It must be one of the mutant moths that grow near the Jurassic Park ride in the valley. I hear they eat Jody Maroni's and grow unbeleivably large.

From what these gardneres say, tomoato growers count on these Moths specifically to protect their crops, I can imagine the huge swarms of these wherever they grow Jalepenos and Tomatos in California hovering over miles of crops.

Side note* my cat brings in small birds at lleast 2 times a week as well, so her bringing me shit is nothing new.

One of my cats cleared out the whole ranch of bunny rabbits. Left the window open for him to come in one night, and the next morning it looked like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre - blood and fur all over the fucking place.

My cat can kill whatever it wants. As for collars, they have collars, as well as shots and Identification.

She is an 8 year old cat, if she can still catch shit, Im not going to stop her.
