NEW Logitech G9 Corded Laser Mouse

I always get excited when a new corded Logitech mouse comes along and here it is - http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mi.../3053&cl=us,en

I've got it pre-ordered and it ships tomorrow, so I guess that means that Wednesday is it's official release date for those of you that might be interested.

That's nice. I have the G5 and I love it.

Yeah, I currently have a G5 and love it, but when something new hits, it's time to jump and then bump my G5 over to the kids computer :)

tony286 09-03-2007 09:44 PM

I wonder how that would be for photoshop and video editing. The track ball kills my thumb and wrist after awhile.

pornguy 09-03-2007 09:47 PM

Damn thats nice. But I can see 99$ for one.

Thurbs 09-03-2007 09:49 PM

you really have to get used to it but its a lot more accurate, Ive got this one after my mx700 was worn out and I love it, batterylife is amazing a week almost

tranza 09-04-2007 07:41 AM

Klen 09-04-2007 08:05 AM

I still have g5 and i have no need to change it :)

Babaganoosh 09-04-2007 08:42 AM

Every time Logitech releases a new corded mouse I have to run out and buy it. I have been in love with the MX 518 since its release. I'll go pick this one up too but can't guarantee I will be dumping my 518 for it.

Sansa 09-04-2007 08:59 AM

I wouldn't give up my Evoluent vertical mouse for anything.

I love Logitech, but on the MX700 and later wireless mouse/keyboards, both sets have locked up and frozen. Even a reboot would not fix the problem - you have to turn off both the power to the PC AND the AC power to the mouse charging station. Has anyone else experienced this same problem with Logitech?

I don't know what setpoint is. I have two different Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse sets on separate computers. Seems to be a bug in the wireless receiver that freezes the unit up until ALL power to it is turned off.

setpoint is the new software logitech uses, but it seems you use the old one for both. You did set them to different channels right? Button underneath the MX700.

One is in the home office, one is in the main office - so they don't have channel conflict problems. Seems like a firmware upgrade / update could fix the problem - if they have one available.

I can't see paying $99 for a mouse unless it comes with a TV or something :helpme
