Talk about a different kind of BJ..Pics

This was from our trip to Cabo San Lucas, Category 1 hurricane Henriette. First Hurricane for me, really puts a category 4-5 like Katrina in perspective..

We got hit by Henriette last night, I'm in Sonora, Mexico. Actually it was not as strong as I expected, schools were closed and the whole state was set to yellow alert. It seems it's over now.

Wow, that's crazy. My buddy's brother was in Mexico last year when a hurricane hit and they had the army out there guarding the airport. They tried to give them everything they had, but unless they were scheduled to fly out that day, they weren't getting in.

Some kind of honeymoon huh?

czarina 09-06-2007 11:50 AM

oh.... I miss hurricanes!

TubeTitans_SusieQ 09-06-2007 11:52 AM

media 09-06-2007 11:52 AM

Wow... That is intense!!! I remember the year I was in FL in the hurricanes and we went to the strip club Solid Gold, and they were still valet parking even with palm trees blowing sideways n shit.. haha

Waveu6410 09-06-2007 11:53 AM

I've always wanted to experience one. Not category 4 or 5 of course.

Yeah it slowed down once it hit land, apparently Cabo was in hit by the 'eye'.

Welcome to the club :thumbsup, but from the looks of it, your lucky a big cat 4 or a cat 5 did not hit where those pics are taken on the ocean, that place would be demolished. Not only would the wind be blowing twice or more as hard, (over 15o MPH) but there would be a 20 foot storm surge versus a 4 or 5 foot surge like you see there.

In other words, I doubt the people living in those tan apartments would be hanging out on the ground floor. :( That is if they would even hold up.

You won't see buildings like that being built here in Florida on the ocean any more. They design them for when the surge comes in the water is channelled around and under the house. There is no way to stop a storm surge. You have to "go with the flow"..... :thumbsup

Yeah..I cant imagine a category 4 or 5 really. One of the receptionists at the hotel told me he was in a category 5 at another hotel and you can even walk the winds are so strong. I really feel for those cities and countries in the 'hurricane zone'.
