iPhone users is $100 enough?
 

I've never been a die hard Apple fan, but I decided to buy an iPhone since I needed a new phone. I bought my phone about a month ago and knowingly that buying the 1st generation would come with a few bugs and is a high price ticket item. However, I decided to overlook that and bought the phone anyway.

As of yesterday, Apple reduced the price by $200 bucks.. ouch

However, it looks like Apple is trying to rectify this price reduction by providing a $100 refund to anyone that bought the phone 2 months ago.

So I guess I'm only out $100, plus the hassle of getting my $$.

I still think it was a shitty business move, besides we still have a few months before the x-mas season. Any other iPhone owners still pissed about this price reduction?

You thought the price was fair enough to buy it or you would not have. No one forced you to buy it.

Sorry for sounding so cynical but companies adjust prices all the time and cutting edge tech always costs a premium.

phones are always cheaper weeks, months, years later.

I was only slightly miffed to hear they lowered the price. As Probono already stated, companies have sales all the time and nobody seems to mind.

I'm a geek and cannot help myself when it comes to cool technology and I am still happy with my purchase even though I know a better Iphone on a 3G network is right around the corner (yes...I may be forced to sell my existing Iphone on Ebay to get the newer one :-)

I do think Apple's decision to give a $100 credit is actually pretty cool and shows the mindset of the company.

If only Sony would offer me something to make up for the fact that there are still NO FUCKING GAMES worth playing on the PS3 and they dropped the price. The best and really only title worth playing was a launch title.

I'd be as happy as a pig in shit if they gave me anything to make up for it, and surely wouldn't complain or get upset with anything they were willing to give.

Early adapters always get fucked in the ass, when I bought my first serious digital camera the e-10 it was 1800 dollars and now you can buy it used for about 200 dollars. Not to mention you can buy a pretty kick ass digital slr for about a quarter of that price.
