How long should you wait for a programmer?
Last week (friday night 8 days ago) I was looking for a programmer to do a very small script. We agreed on a price and I told him I would send him the money that monday by wire as soon as the bank was open.
He told me it would only take a few hours to make the script, and he would get started right away. The deal was he should show me some of the script as prove he was working on it. I would then in return send him 50% of the money, and then send the rest when the script was done. Last time I heard from him was last sunday, its now 8 days later. It was a script that would take him a few hours to build. I have been trying to get in touch with him for 5 days now. Is it fair to move along and find another programmer? |
If it is a small script - suspect I'd be at a 72 hour delivery or refund of funds stage.
There are plenty good programmers out there - there are more "alleged programmers" who are total crap. The good one's are usually busy, and can take em time to stuff your job into the schedule - so, depends. |

If anyone want the job, hit me up. Payment have changed to EPASSPORTE only |
you waited long enough...time to find some1 real..
|
he quoted the job to last a few hours... you gave him the money, and said go, and he nodded.
If that's the case, and it's a week later, and you're still waiting for _word_ from him after trying to contact him for 5 days in vain, I'd say the business relationship is over. |

Its one thing to take on a job you cant actually do, I can handle that if they just admit it. But this "cut and run" rhetoric's piss me off. I have wasted 8 days on this so far. What should have been a 2 day turn-around, will now end up being a 14-20 day runaround |
