Bush preparing to stretch the truth again

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070911/D8RJHGHO0.html

Bush is going to announce that the "US will reduce troops in Iraq by 30,000".

fine print:

1) if it happens, it will be next summer
2) if conditions permit
3) if conditions aren't favorable or problems continue, then the withdrawl will disappear.

Basically, Bush is going to attempt to curry favor with the citizens by announcing this week something that may not happen for 8 months or may not happen at all.

Anyone think he is trying to drop a "military bomb" into the middle of the 2008 Presidential race? A nice July or August present for the republicans.

12clicks 09-11-2007 07:13 PM

and what are you dopes going to say when Bush leaves office and we have the same peaceful transition we always do?

I guess start believing the next line of bullshit they'll be feeding you. :winkwink:

StickyGreen 09-11-2007 07:13 PM

lol, if Bush somehow miraculously weasels himself into a 3rd term, then you guys can throw around words like "dictator." He was fucking voted in twice and he is on the way out soon... so chill out. Bush doesn't call any shots anyways, he's a moron puppet...

SilentKnight 09-11-2007 07:14 PM

Watching Bush put scapegoats in to place is like watching a high-stakes game of political musical chairs.

Such a Teflon president.

Someday I hope to see that prick held accountable for all his actions over the years. Undoubtedly he'll go down in history as the worst president of all time.

RawAlex 09-11-2007 09:44 PM

Silentknight, I think history will look back at this President as the man who threw away peace and replaced it with a long, protracted, and unwinnable war... the man who took the only truly democratic super power and flushed it.

50 years from now we may all be speaking chinese... or writing in farsi.

It won't happen.

We are lucky to have such a fine man as President. He has spine, and that is what is needed right now.

Just the opposite.

Here is a man who kept vigilent --even after the country woke up, stared at the alarm clock that read 9:11, and went back to sleep.

Here is a man who removed a Hitler like dictator, and brought freedom to 30 million Iraqis.

Here is a man who continued doing what he felt was right, even as the walls caved in around him.

I admire GWB immensely.
