It was a shock to me to find out John Lennon didn't even write "Imagine" ...

Well, you can understand Lennon. They're both rather purile, but Dillon had a cause. Sometimes.

Ready for another shock? You're wrong. It really was written by John Lennon. It was produced by Phil Spector, who is facing a second degree murder charge right now.

Its just some of those false rumors thats been spread around for years. Even though wikipedia isn't the must trustworthy source, they got it right: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imagine_%28song%29. Yoko claims part of it, but thats not surprising.

I've never heard the rumor that Image was written by someone else. Who did they say really wrote it... not that I believe a word of it though.
