Dutch Usenet Piracy Forum IJSKLONTJE SHUTDOWN

Hello everybody....as I have posted before Usenet Piracy Forum IJSKLONTJE
the site is now shutdown. This will be a HUGE blow to a lot of other piracy sites on the net
as many torrent sites used this place as their main source for content.

Here's the last post of the owners of the forum:

The End
Hello fellow members of IJsklontje

After 3 years the staff had to decide to stop all activities on this forum.

The busy life of admins and moderators is the main reason.

This forum has been brought to the top by lots and lots of hours by many
staffmembers, posters and spotters. It doesn't deserve to melt bit by
bit ...... So we stop at our highest level and get on with our real lifes.

We made an example for many other usenet forums, the groups are now
filled by many posts from other places than IJs, so there will be no shortage
of erotic binaries.

We would like to say thanks to all who made IJsklontje to the world's most
famous erotic usenetforum....

Sorry for this sad thread, we are mentally broken as well... we love you
all and may you all live to see the dawn.

We salute all our friends... maybe we will see eachother at other places.

Staff IJsklontje

:thumbsup

shit you're right.......and here I was thinking I solved the whole piracy
problem in 1 go........

you really that stupid or are just trying to see if you can push my buttons?
If it's the second option then please try harder.....yor attempts so far
been nothing than an insult to my intellect.....which doesn't bother me at
all.....I'm used to that by now :thumbsup

its nice to see ijklontje down, but posters will move or will simply continue in their a.b group. or, new forum will be made by fellow members ... maybe admins was scared of that dutch anti piracy group, so they will just change name or move to private, but a.b will be still filled :2 cents: but everything must start somewhere ;)

Guess what they're on the list......I'm not going to make any promises
about anything until I'm sure I can keep them.........or until I decide to
give up and admit I have failed.......so until I post that I'll keep going
with it......I just keep quiet and refrain myself from promising results
till they're achieved......time will till how far I'll get with this.....we'll
tally the scores after I'm done......I have no idea myself to be honest
about what I might be able to achieve......for now I just keep trying
even when it turns out I failed miserably I'll have no problem admitting
that at least not when knowing that at least I've tried...... :thumbsup

100% true....I'm not claiming victory in any kind and for sure they might be
back......that said it accomplished more than doing nothing.....It sure woke
them up and forced them to get in action...........it's may not be much yet
but it's more than they had to do till now......it's a start.....time will tell
where that will end......If we lose we lose while fighting......I find that easier
to accept than just rolling over without putting up a fight :thumbsup

Server Genius congratulations. Dont worry about them setting up new forums, as you know it takes time for something like that forum to grow and get new members and become a size of serious worry. For the moment definitley a good job and good disruption in the piracy war.

Thanks Scotty.....and be sure that no matter what others say or how much
they laugh or ridicule me......there's nothing they can come up with that will
hurt my feelings or make me change my mind....hell I'd be more worried if
nobody would care or attempt to bash me.......anyone that takes the time
and effort to respond must care enough to do so.......when they wouldn't
they wouldn't feel the need to react on it at all........

Well on GFY that may not be entirely true......postcounts could be enough
reason to reply.....or trying to win $5 box in a contest thread.....but I'm
not giving anything away......the postcounts replies I'll appreciate too.....
it bumps the thread and keeps it alive.....that's worth something here on GFY.

ServerGenius 09-15-2007 07:53 AM

if it really doesn't benefit anyone else than so be it.....doing something already makes me feel better than doing nothing......so I already got something out
of it that makes it worthwhile.....there's nothing I can lose with it anymore
I already went past break even lol......that's already quite a bit more than
a lot of people on GFY will ever achieve......:1orglaugh

that wasn't directed at you :winkwink:

Anything that slows down the sharing communities, makes it harder for the content to get out there, even in a small amount, is a victory. This also shows one of the bigger problems of file sharers:

That sounds pretty much like guys who graduated from university (or high school for that matter) and are moving to doing real things rather than just sitting in front of their PC in their dorm or mommy's basement. People without financial motivation are the hardest to stop, because there is no greed to feed.

Yup that's how I see it too.....I won't comment on the contents of their post
and their reasoning....as I can't back up my opinion about it with facts and/or
arguments....besides I don't see the need to argue about their reasons....they
decided to stop and that's all that matters to me........but since I know the
whole story that led to this event....I wouldn't take their whole statement
as the whole truth.......but even if it is I'm not going to argue about it......
if that's the case......that's still good enough for me :thumbsup

geeknik 09-15-2007 08:14 AM

I'm sure another 3 or 4 forums have already taken it's place.

ServerGenius 09-15-2007 08:20 AM

I do know that these guys and their site didn't generate them a lot of revenue
unlike a lot of other sites......as big and popular as they were they didn't
advertise or took advantage of their traffic in any way that would have made
them a lot of money.......which probably made their decision to close shop a
lot easier for them take........however a lot of others sites that feeded from
their content do/did make money indirectly of them.....so them closing still
hurt quite a few others than them in their income revenue.......and writing
this down....makes me feel a little warm and happy inside :thumbsup

swampthing 09-15-2007 10:12 AM

Im all for the fight against piracy of course, but it looks to me like theres going to have to be an effort from governments to shut down free for all sites.

Otherwise we are all just spinning our wheels.

RawAlex 09-15-2007 10:13 AM

Yesterday I got hit pretty hard by a newer looking asian based version of fusker, opening entire folders of images on a single page at the same time, all hot linked. There is always a vacuum that will create the demand for these things, and people stupid enough to think nobody will notice.

Most of them don't last - and their surfers are currently enjoying ******* and goatse a whole bunch.

ServerGenius 09-15-2007 01:21 PM

it's not required to completely stop whatever form of piracy as nobody has the illusion that's doable the goal should be to somewhat control it a little to prevent
this whole issue becoming so normal and available for the people don't want to
bother trying to obtain it for free if it takes more effort than just signing up
and paying for what they want.........

The people that will do anything to get it for free are the people that never
pay for porn not even when they wouldn't be able to get anything for free.
That group isn't hurting our business the problem is that it's become less
effort getting porn for free than the effort it takes to signup for a site and
just pay for it.....that's what's hurting our business and they didn't even
look for it......they got it thrown into their laps without even looking for it
in a similar way people used to get presented with porn whether they wanted
or not........

And I seriously believe that getting a grip on that isn't a mission impossible

Tempest 09-15-2007 04:40 PM

Good work...

riddler 09-15-2007 04:51 PM

stop acting like it was taken down because of pressure of piracy, it was taken down because the admins got sick of uploading porn day in day out for 3 years.

uhm, how would it be a huge blow? the torrent sites will be able to get their stuff just fine. All they have to do is go to nforce.nl to see the new releases, and download them off of usenet using binsearch.info or one of the other many similar sites out there

but that's besides the point, most stolen content starts at the topsites, and eventually trickles down to torrent/usenet.

you obviously can't read.....so let me help you.....we really don't care
whatever made them decide to close shop......in fact it's even better
they decide themselves to stop for any other reason then whatever
kind of pressure trying to scare them for possible consequences for
illegal content distribution they commit...much easier, much more effective
and a lot less likely they'll move and re-open shop the next day at another
provider.

Not sure if your remark was intended to hurt my ego or anything if it was
than I'm sorry for having to dissapoint you for your failed attempt.....

Try again insulting my mother or making remarks about how ugly and
retarded I am.....perhaps that might work......:thumbsup

ok describing it like that was a bit optimistic and sure they'll be able to find
new sources for content.....but the fact remains that a lot of sites used
ijsklontje as one of their primary sources for a lot of fresh releases which
they won't be able to use anymore now.......the fact they have to look
for new sources to replace this one and the knowledge that the days that
nobody even bothered to take action are gone is already a lot more than
than all the time nobody gave a fuck.......is it time to celebrate.....certainly
not.....will we notice sales go up now.....nope we won't so what's all the
excitement about? We've made a start with taking somekind of action

which crazy as it seems took well more than a year before we got motivated
enough to get of our asses and at least try todo something more than just
crying about it the damage it does to our business which we all knew about
all this time while not doing anything about it since the day we realised it.

Laugh and ridicule this as much as you want.....so we know who of you
we don't ever have to waste our time to and find out after hours you're
not just another wannabe pimp or player who doesn't have any business
or interest in anything else than just trying to look cool :winkwink:

Laughing in your collective faces

Just a quick missive to the delusional:

Do you feel the quicksand? You thought you could score meaningful victories, but they are just fleeting respites on your way to failure.

As SG acknowledged....."..is it time to celebrate.....certainly not.....will we notice sales go up now.....nope we won't". That's certainly true enough. Also true is his realization that the battle is not winnable "...to completely stop whatever form of piracy as nobody has the illusion that's doable". The truth is, whether or not you can fully grasp it, we have the resources, abilities, and most important, the WILL to defeat you. We nearly always do, and I have few reasons to doubt that you can do much more than slow us temporarily.

Oh, a little aside to SG...stop sniveling about our desires to insult and hurt you, and I don't care about your mother, either. Rather, this post is merely positioned to laugh in your collective faces...a little comentary on your futility from the vantage point of the player with the stronger hand. We don't need to insult you, as our continued thriving existence does that without words.

fatslag 09-17-2007 07:56 PM

i undertsand where your coming from, if it affects your buisness and income then you have every right to do what you can to stop it and good luck to you an congrats for your little accomplishment

But in reality it doesnt matter what sites you get pulled down, if the people behind them arnt getting into trouble then new ones will appear as quick as old ones dissapear, there has been no change in the ammount of porn avaliable to torrent users so although one sites now gone the porns still there as plentifull as it was, to think that any admin rely on one site for there content is just plain stupid, you obviously know how big the p2p commuinty is? its growing every day people dont want to pay £30 for some crappy porno dvd when its there for free and they wont, People are getting shafted by media companys day in day out with the pathetic prices, when all this fuss is made an sites get closed down all that happens is more people get to hear about it and then in turn introduced to p2p .. look at the pirate bay, all the media attention they get, all thats doing is bringing new people into the scene, the only way anyone stands a chance of stopping it completly or mostly is if the goverment work with isp's but even then im sure some clever toad will find a way around it.... i dunno but what im getting at is your not going to make a difference if anything your just giving the p2p scene more publicity an making alot of people more determined and as time has proven pirates will always succeed

anyways good luck with what your doing at least your making a stand for something you belive in, the pirate bay next please? got to hate them arrogant cunts!!

so confident of your case but not enough to post with your real nick....
if I was half as confident as you describe I wouldn't even bother replying
to this nonsense :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Amused at your impotence 09-17-2007 09:09 PM

my "real" nick??

Hmmm, SG....Since one's "nick" is anything they choose it to be, how can one "nick" be more real than another? If you are confusing real names with nicknames, perhaps you are spending too much time at the keyboard. I only suggest this since you seem to have enough postings to fill a small container such as a wastebasket.

If you meant to ask why I didn't use my real name, I never said that the activities in question are legal, just that our community will continue to do them (a number of things that are fundamentally right aren't legal ) and your most concerted efforts to stem the tide will likely be utterly in vain. I don't kick nasty, angry little dogs, either. It's just common sense, y'know?

Incidentally, I'll see your 3 animated red dots and raise you, oh...I dunno...since you guys seem to have a fascination for them on this site..a middle finger.

So, on that note I say...Good for you, SG! A hollow victory is better than none at all. Well, time to go check my downloads on the other box! Cheers!

How naive are you, Hows it going to help in the long run? all sg has done is publicized P2P a little bit more, there has been no change in the amount of content out there and it would be silly to think that there would, you could take down 10 sites tomorow and it wouldnt make a slightest bit of difference. you have to look at the bigger picture, seriously how dumb are you people it hardly takes a genius (no pun intended)

closing a site like that wont increase any sales

people who know how to use the relatively complicated usenet, will figure out other ways to get free stuff
