Who wears watches these days? It's like wearing a sign that says "I'm so disconnected from the modern world that I don't have a cell phone or a PDA that I can check the time on".

Hublot makes a great time piece as well as IWC, Ulysee Nardin, Omega, Glashütte, Audemars Piguet, Chopard and many others. If someone hasn't heard of these watch makers then they just don't know watches. I own a couple IWC's and an Omega and subscribe to a few watch magazines. Do yourself a favorite and check out HR:Watches, iWmagazine, Revolution or WatchTime because there's a lot more out there and personally I'd never buy a piece from eBay... that's just asking to get ripped off if they can't provide proper papers and box... and still it's risky. Try checking out a place like Tourneau.

Hublot makes some really nice pieces, but that one isn't one of them.

As far as buying a watch on Ebay though, do yourself a favor and go to a jeweler, and try on a bunch. You can't pick what watch you want by pictures IMO.

I'm just checking ebay because if I pay it in US$, I will save about 1500$ on the watch (since US and CAD are pretty much on par right now)

Still, given how close you are to the border, I'd do a daytrip into NY and buy it at a store... A swiss watch is not something I'd trust Ebay with... I know a lot of manufacturers will not honor warranties for stuff bought online.

I can't see where the watch would tell the time 20 times better than a 200 dollar watch.
