Face the fucking facts: Tupac Sucks
I'm sick of all these Tupac threads praising him. Its time I came out and admitted what all the real hip hop motherfuckers in here know. Tupac sucks. Read on Bitchez.
His death created a huge glut of crappy tribute albums filled with tracks that sound like he fucking recorded it in a tin can. His musical legacy, whatever it is, was destroyed by the stream of junk that record companies pumped out to sell his image and to capitalize on his death. Let me use a different analogy. Yesterday I was walking down the street and I saw a Van Gogh painting being used to sell fucking flowers. The mastery behind the art was ruined by its context. Tupacs' emotions, his lyrics, his conscience - all are reduced to shit because SUGE KNIGHT acting motherfuckers pimp watered down remix after rerelease. Its all about the Benjamins right ?!? Mainstream "rap" culture, of which Tupac is the dearly departed king has so many mixed messages that the whole genre just becomes bloated with phony haters. Tell me, what SOPHMORE MC album was EVER worth listening too? I may be wrong, but I can't think of one. I wish I never hear another Tupac song again. I shit on Thug Life and everything it means today. p.s. If I was writing the hip hop bible it would read... Matthew 1:1-17 "and MC Hammer begot Vanilla Ice and Vanilla Ice begot Tupac and Tupac begot Eminem and Eminem begot whoever MTV decides is the next hip hop superstar" |
The Fresh Prince is the real king of rap.... :thumbsup

Face the fucking facts: YOU suck!
You're making two different arguments. His music being bastardized? Possibly. Him sucking, no way. You even admit in your post that he had emotion and conscience. His music to me is in the same vein as Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder or Marvin Gaye. Like them, his music has timeless messages that transcend time or trends or culture. These wanna-be rappers today only wish they could create an impact on the culture that will be around long. Most of them are played out within 2 yrs. Go back and listen to the Me Against The World album....a MASTERPIECE. Also Makaveli: The Don Killuminati album was next level. That was recorded in 96 and released in 97 when the bling bling phenom started to take off. And that album was raw and so non-mainstream dealing with religion, black empowerment, respect for women, etc. True he wasn't a cardboard character like these publicity assembly line rappers. He actually had multiple sides to him and was complicated and confusing at times. That's a part of what creates the mistique about him. He was a real human dealing with the same shit as everyone else but was so next level at the same time. 2PAC Forever...... |

The statement "Tupac sucks" is immediately invalid anyway, because Tupac is dead.
When he was alive, Tupac ruled. Souljah's Revenge! |
Though you pour yourself into that frame and present it so proudly
this world could not accept your masterpieces, from the heart So on that starry night, you gave to us and you took away from us the one thing we never acknowledged, your life.. :321GFY |
Fact: the guy's been dead for a long time.
That's all you need to know. /EOT |
