Biz Question: 28k-30k per month income on average...

Let's just say that 7k+ per week average is being made incorporated with full records for 3 years. How many years on the books do I need to come up with a decent "resume" in order to sell this bitch. Some weeks 10k others 6k. You know how it goes.

I have a mainstream business that was funded 199.9% from adult and I am thinking it is almost time to say goodbye to adult due to growth. Everything legit. Also, how much is a fair asking price?

This is something that was conceived from hard work (as we all know) and there was little to no overhead other than hosting bills because most of my money came from SE/link placement knowledge. I feel kind of fucked because I do not think I could sell what I have to someone in good faith because they do not know hwat I do.

Your thoughts? Suggestions?

Don't sell it. Get someone to run it all for you until they can pay you off

1.5-2 years net income = price

You are better off keeping it, you will never get a fair price for it....

I agree. Just make your network bigger.

Basic_man 09-27-2007 08:46 PM

Hire someone to manage it..

tony286 09-27-2007 08:49 PM

you could pay someone pay them a good salary and performance bonuses and still pocket a nice of amount of money.

BOSS1 09-27-2007 08:50 PM

I would suggest to collaborate with somebody who is in the biz and get a % every month without having worry about running it. The person will run it for you and you will get the % for an agreed amount of time. Make it legal and binding!

I would be interested in seeing what you have.

your nick suggests that you're some broke or outsourced designer heh

Net businesses don't have the same value as real world businesses do. You won't get what you think it is worth for the most part, unless you have some truly special domains.

As someone else suggested, outsource it. If you are making 6k on low weeks, hire one or two people to continue to maintain the site, put in maybe an hour a day for yourself, and pickup net maybe 4 or 5 k a week for maybe 10 hours work. Unless your non-adult business is really good, I can't see you making $500 an hour at it.

Work smarter, not harder.

It's hard to say really, web-based businesses are hard to evaluate due to the lack of any physical assets, etc. Normally 1-2 years of net income is the norm but it also depends on any, if any, intellectual property, internet property (domains), subscriptions, and so on.

cheapgallerydesign 09-28-2007 09:40 AM

Thanks for the replies. Most of this is straight SEO so domains are not really premium (not bad either).

Thanks for the insight guys. Some of you I will be hitting up very soon. Any other info is appreciated as well.

campimp 09-28-2007 10:01 AM

i agree... hire someone, why the fuck would you want to unload something bringing in close to 30K a month... things change fast in this business, just ride it out while its still pumping cash into your pocket every month...

cutievids 09-28-2007 10:05 AM

I can help you run it! :)

nikad 09-28-2007 10:33 AM

What YOU pay, and someone else will, are apples and oranges sport.

You can try selling it. But dont be desperat.

Having someone running it for you can be a good idea. But you have to find the right person!
