Anyone else have shitty service on Webair's virtual account?

Ever since I signed up with Webair (virtual account) running JMB's Autogallery SQL has been a nightmare. Constant memory errors, disconnects, and connection errors. I opened up a ticket with them and the support tells me "Well you have to consider you only have a virtual account". Why offer MySQL and such on an account package when the server can't support it, etc...? It's like false advertising to me.

Anyone else have these issues? I'm thinking maybe they set me up on an extremely shitty server.

I always had problems with my virtual account there, but ever since I upgraded to a dedicated server I have had zero problems...

Love my virtual account. However I wouldn't use MySQL with it. Shared databases are always down not just with Webair thats pretty standard.

I have 5 other virtual accounts on numerous hosts and never had any other problems with these other hosts. The virtual accounts actually perform like they are almost on dedicated servers.

If Webair's virtual account can't even support a not so intensive script as Autogallery SQL they shouldn't even make it an option on the virtual accounts. Take in mind that all I am doing is setting up the thumbnails for galleries in Autogalleries Backend and the thing keeps giving a shitload of errors because of lack of memory and the connection time between the MySQL server the database is on and the actual hosting server. These tasks I'm performing shouldn't destroy the server resources because they are simple tasks.

I've had virtual accounts with 5-7 other hosts and all in all I'd say I've had the least amount of problems with Webair.. not to say I haven't had problems though. Virtual hosting only seems to be profitable if you oversell unfortunately.. shitloads of competition = low prices = too many sites / box.

:2 cents:

im not trying to sound like a snob here but with dedicted server packages starting at well under a hundred bucks a month I would think that if you need performance but your site isnt making enough to pay for a server maybe its time to apply to McDonalds.

I have never really had much problems with their virtuals...

I never said anything about needing performance. Read above again, adding thumbnails for galleries in the backend of Auto Gallery SQL has nothing to do with performance. Those are simple tasks that shouldn't be erroring out. It's not like I have a php script or script that accesses MySQL every time traffic hits a web page or something like it.

Cool. Maybe I'll contact my account manager and see if he can do something. Maybe something is actually wrong with the server and the support is missing something.
