Is porn online just an impulse buy?

what percent stay because they like paying for porn?
what percent stay because they forgot to cancel?

What are some things we can change to make this industry more money?

Why do men pay for porn and women dont?

Just a few questions I had on my mind.

It's a combo of both of those. Mostly, it seems like dudes who have no game getting all worked up at a club or bar and striking out. They go home drunk with their credit card in one hand and their dick in the other. Jerk off, pass out and forget they did it. Then the forgetting to cancel comes into play.

Depends on what type of porn. General mainstream hardcore, yes... But take a look at te weird ass fetish niche stuff, those buyers spend time searching out the best site, and then stay a member for years.

lmao, that scenario is probably a small percentage of the customers.

So a site like Twistys is hot enough to get them to join but not stick around?

only the crazy fetish stuff?

I personally think the majority of people dont have the money to pay for porn.

but if we censored the hardcore free stuff it would force them to pay more:2 cents:

Being on a pay-per-view model like myself, I really get to see how much loyalty there truely is in the biz.

100% of my users stay because they like paying for porn. We don't rebill anyone. They come back on their own free will. Same thing for cams.

No reason to bring up extremes. Yes, a quality site will out-retain a lower quality site, but a fetish site with hard-to-find content will blow them both out of the water. Unfortunately that represents 5-10% of the porn traffic.

I understand. I really dont think a great site will retain better then a normal site. But who really knows except for the proccessors

I think big mega corporate porn gets more of the I bought and forgot than small niche sites. With the small niche sites there is more on a bond felt with the model.

We average $85 per signup. I'm not sure where that ranks us versus sites of lesser quality but that's our current number.

Quick Buck 10-05-2007 08:23 PM

here's to impulses! :)

BOSS1 10-05-2007 09:21 PM

I would say mostly yes... but there are people... probably with budgets who research and inquire about sites before making a purchase. I got several emails from those types.

You guys really do... I did not have much teen traffic but the signups that I did send you rebilled phenomenally. Its higher then others I worked with.
