I have a question about bacon
 

Does it go bad? I have some bacon in my fridge from a week and a half or so ago and I want to eat it. Is it alright?

Just smell it, if it smells ok it should be alright to eat

Not if it's made out of dehydrated fruit.

Takes much longer than a week. It is semi cured and often partially cold smoked. It may have a slight odor or feel a lil fatty but it is perfectly fine for awhile.
Though pre sliced bacon is about as evil as pre sliced bread :winkwink:

btw, Bacon should be good for more then 10 days, but you can always tell with bacon if it has a smell or not. If not you should be good to go.

Check to see if it has discoloration, but I would'nt. Being a chef the past 11 years I would'nt:winkwink:

bacon is pretty cheap just buy more and save yourself the shits ;)

i agree, if u dont know - dont try.
typically it lasts a long time tho.

once it turns a lighter color I throw it out. We have been eating turkey bacon lately, and it is really good.

I like bacon so much I'd eat it even if it was bad. In fact I have nothing in common with people who consider salad a meal.

Be a Man just cook it a little longer than usual, or be a real man and let it get warm in the sun then eat it!

If you're not sure just boil it.

look at the expiration date. =p
