I noticed a couple interesting spikes over past few days... but nothing worth holding my breath over yet.

yeah, I've been getting better results from google over the last week

I am almost hitting a 1000 hits from google a day in the last week. Up a few hundred from a month ago.

Yeah, I just dropped for a very good keyword off the second page. However I'm still #1 for a lot of terms. So, I don't know. Looks like only one site was effected. That site hasn't been updated or changed at all. Not sure wtf happened there. Damn, Google and it's dancing.

Yep, it's been pretty good for me.

Did the site fall or receive better ranking? It seems that my static sites always kickass with these changes and the minute I make any change.. Cya... they fall off.. so I'm not touching them anymore.

Ever occur to you that is due to the fact that others going for the same keywords are updating their sites?

The sites that are outranking me atm update less then I do. I mean the site does _update_ cronjob wise :P

I'm liking what I see so far. I managed to get #1 for a keyword I was shooting for, plus a few variations of the word.

Perhaps you are using the phrase "update" too literally.

I know we bumped a lot of people due to incoming links, something you would not be able to see just by looking at our site.

It seems like a lot of the old sites I forgot about are ranking well for some odd reason.
