Which free FTP program to use?

queued loading runs cleaner and smoother on a 64 processor than ive seen with anything else...

simple and to the point.

Filezilla is pretty good. But use version 2. The new version sucks ass.

try FAR manager (http://rarsoft.com)
it's best program for me for editing, ftp, etc...

Tryed them all. Ace FTP is the way to go.

smart ftp. its so free and nice.

FlashFXP cause it's just better than any that I have used. I like it better than cuteftp and ws_ftp

flashfxp and filezilla, smart ftp is terrible, times out every 3 seconds.

I have used like 4 or 5 ftp programs, but for some months I use Flashfxp and it does the job smoothly.

wsftp. has served me will. I love the fact that I can ftp to sever different sites at the same time.

I use that one too. Though it is not without its problems. There is one server it refuses to connect to, keeps saying bad user/pass pair. Its very odd. I am 100% positive that all of the connection info is correct and it works from any other client.

I had to reformat a week and a half ago and couldn't reinstall my original FTP so I grabbed BlazeFTP because it came up in a search for being able to delete not empty directories.

It's been fine for my needs, the only negative is that while you can drag and drop between the program's panels you can't drag from a local folder and drop into the FTP. There may be a setting that I've missed but I really haven't bothered looking that hard for it because I've mostly only been working within one folder at a time since installing it.

Adding my vote for filezilla as well. Been using it for few years and had no problems. For a free soft, it does a great job.

another one I use is WinSCP, it works good too, and offers secure FTP

Total Commander (30day trial period) - it ROCKS and you might want to buy it later :)

Filezilla is my choice because of its ease of use and its free I have always used filezilla and have never had any problems with it.

I love Total Commander. I've been using it for years. But I don't use it for FTP. Last time I tried I wasn't too happy with the FTP-part. But that was a couple of years ago so I'm sure it's better now.

I use gFTPd , comes with most Linux distros ;)

By far the best is FTP Voyager, its not free, but well worth the money spent
