Death.

It's less painful to deal with, and you'll get people fucking with your shit far, far less, even if you believe in hell.

Joomla.. It's come a long way with version 1.5 Only issue is with 1.5 is it's still not a offical release but it's coming soon. It's on RC3 now.

once the official version is released the modules will start getting updated. Once that happens it's going to be a real nice package. They have fixed the bad url's for the SE's and got rid of the issues with dup content in version 1.5.

check out this site for an example of what a Joomla site can be tnawrestling.com

My honest suggestion is to keep the hell away from both of those. PHPNuke has a really nasty record of problems, and so does Joomla.

unless you are doing something crazy, custom is overboard with the various free open source CMS's that are out there. Even then it's likey easier to mod a open source CMS frame work like www.modxcms.com

PHP Nuke?? Isn't that like 100 years old?

Jace 10-26-2007 10:48 PM

100% joomla

it has a pretty huge learning curve, but well worth it, you can do ANYTHING with it

quantum-x 10-27-2007 03:18 AM

Enjoy being hacked!

Joomla is great. I've done a number of sites with it, with great results.

1.5 will be the way to go.

ICQ me if you need any help with getting joomla running

HomerSimpson 10-27-2007 04:03 AM

both have lots of security holes... as I know...
many sites have constant problems with both scripts...

candyflip 10-27-2007 09:41 PM

My girlfriend uses Joomla at work, so she's gotten me hooked. We've done a few local business sites using it.
