Changing hosting affecting google traffic?
Hi!
I am about to change my hosting and this will mean new ip and dns for my site. My question is if anyone knows if this will affect google traffic in some way? Wouldn't like to loose that traffic! /Masali |
As far as I've seen, as long as you are using the same domain, you shouldn't see a difference.
Unless you get a banned IP or something, I don't think you'll have any problems..
As long as you are not making changes to the site at the same time there should not be any issues.
yes changing hosting could affect rankings.
No it should not have an affect.
I have not observed this thing closely, so cannot state my experience .. but I have heard people saying it affected their rank temporarily, which I think is not true.
with my experiments hosting change affects rankings but not for a long time. if you haven't change site content all must return to old values
i don't think so, unless the server didn't abuse too mutch which You moved on.
Thanks for all replies, Sound quite safe to move to a new server. I'll give it a try!
I've changed hosting several times within past 3 years, it has never affected my ranking.
It should not matter masali, but make sure your directory structure is the same.
Won't hurt you.
I've moved a few sites, nothing changed
